Abstract

Body image negatif merupakan suatu keadaan di mana seseorang memiliki pemikiran yang negatif dan tidak realistis dalam memandang tubuh dan penampilan. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya masalah terkait body image negatif pada siswi kelas X di SMA Kristen Makale. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana konsep imago Dei sebagai landasan pendidikan kristiani dalam memahami fenomena body image negatif pada siswi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif yang memungkinkan penulis menggali informasi mendalam terkait pemahaman siswi imago Dei dalam memahami masalah body image negatif. Data dikumpulkan lewat observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan kristiani yang berlandaskan imago Dei dengan penanaman nilai-nilai imago Dei cukup relevan dalam memahami dan merespon masalah body image negatif di mana siswi menunjukkan adanya pemahaman yang benar terkait masalah body image negatif sebagai perilaku menyimpang dalam konsep manusia sebagai imago Dei. Kata Kunci: Citra Tubuh Negatif, Imago Dei, Siswi   ABSTRACT Negative body image is a condition in which a person has negative and unrealistic thoughts in viewing the body and appearance. This study was motivated by the problem related to negative body image in grade X female students at Makale Christian High School. The purpose of this study was to analyze how the concept of imago Dei as a basis for Christian education in understanding the phenomenon of negative body image in female students. The method used in this study is qualitative research with a descriptive approach that allows the author to dig up in-depth information related to the understanding of female students' imago Dei in understanding the problem of negative body image. Data were collected through observation and interviews. The results of the study indicate that Christian education based on imago Dei with the instillation of imago Dei values is quite relevant in understanding and responding to the problem of negative body image where female students show a correct understanding of the problem of negative body image as deviant behavior in the concept of humans as imago Dei.
