Abstract

MARKUS MA’DIKA, 3020218223. Analisis Manajerial Pendeta Terhadap Peningkatan Penatalayanan Di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Barung-Barung. Skripsi Kepemimpinan Kristen , Fakultas Budaya dan Kepemimpinan Kristen , Institut Agama Kristen Negeri (IAKN) Toraja. Pembimbing I: Dr. Petrus Tiranda, M.Th. dan Pembimbing II: Hasrat Dewy Rante Allo, M.MG. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah pelaksanaan penatalayanan yang belum optimal, terlihat dari ketidaktepatan waktu pelayanan dan pelaksanaan program yang tidak sesuai dengan rencana awal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis fungsi manajerial pendeta dalam meningkatkan penatalayanan di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Barung-Barung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan pendeta, penatua, diaken, dan warga jemaat sebagai informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendeta belum melaksanakan fungsi manajerial secara maksimal dalam menata pelayanan. Dari empat fungsi manajerial, yaitu perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pengarahan dan pengawasan, terdapat dua fungsi yang belum berjalan dengan baik, yaitu pengarahan dan pengawasan. Pendeta belum membina disiplin kerja dan motivasi jemaat secara optimal serta belum maksimal dalam melakukan pengawasan langsung karena keterbatasan waktu, mengingat pendeta melayani dua jemaat dan rutin melakukan pertukaran mimbar ke klasis setiap minggu kedua. Selain itu, jadwal pelayanan belum tersusun secara teratur karena penatua belum mampu menyusunnya dengan baik, sedangkan pendeta hanya memberikan himbauan untuk menyusun jadwal pelayanan tanpa arahan langsung. The background of this research is the implementation of stewardship that has not been optimal, seen from the inaccuracy of service time and program implementation that is not in accordance with the initial plan. This research aims to analyze the pastor's managerial function in improving stewardship at the Barung-Barung Toraja Church. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive method. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews and documentation involving pastors, elders, deacons, and congregation members as informants. The results showed that the pastor has not implemented managerial functions optimally in organizing the service. Of the four managerial functions, namely planning, organizing, directing and supervising, there are two functions that have not gone well, namely direction and supervision. The pastor has not optimally fostered work discipline and motivation of the congregation and has not been maximized in conducting direct supervision due to time constraints, considering that the pastor serves two congregations and routinely exchanges pulpits to the classis every second week. In addition, the service schedule has not been organized because the elders have not been able to compile it properly, while the pastor only gives an appeal to compile a service schedule without direct direction.
