Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tradisi pa'peallo dalam perspektif teologi kontekstual terkhusus pada model sintesis dari Stephen B. Bevans. Dialog antar budaya dan budaya adalah fokus dsri penelitian ini. Penulis menggunakan model penelitian yakni metode kualitatif jenis fenomenologi. Penelitian ini diperoleh menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui teknik observasi dan wawancara. Penulis menggunakan teori Steven B. Bevans sebagai teori dasar dalam upaya mendialogkan model sintesis antara pa'peallo dengan pemahaman tradisi melihat hari. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa beberapa jemaat masih melakukan tradisi pa'peallo namun tidak mengakomodasi dan menggantungkan kehidupan sepenuhnya terhadap praktik tradisi ini. Jemaat melihat nilai" moral dan etika tradisi ini sejatinya tidak bertentangan dengan ajaran kristen. Kata Kunci : Dialog, Kristen, Pa'peallo, Sintesis ABSTRACT This research aims to examine the pa'peallo tradition from a contextual theological perspective, specifically the synthesis model of Stephen B. Bevans. Intercultural and cultural dialogue is the focus of this research. The author uses a research model, namely a qualitative phenomenology type method. This research was obtained using data collection techniques through observation and interview techniques. The author uses Steven B. Bevans' theory as a basic theory in an effort to create a dialogue between the synthesis model of pa'peallo and the understanding of the tradition of seeing the day. This research found that some congregations still practice the pa'peallo tradition but do not accommodate it and depend entirely on the practice of this tradition. The congregation sees that the moral and ethical values of this tradition do not actually conflict with Christian teachings. Keywords: Dialogue, Christianity, Pa'peallo, Synthesis.
