Abstract
Nataniel Lamandhi. 2020154120. Teologi Kristen. Tahun 2020 menyusun skripsi dengan judul “MASBERTO (Masyarakat Bertato) Analisis Semiotika: Spritual Teologis Pemaknaan Tatto dalam Bentuk Simbol-Simbol Kekristenan dan Implikasinya bagi Stigma Masyarakat Kristen di Tana Toraja”. Dibawah pembimbingan oleh Dr. Agustinus, M.Th dan Dr. Selvianty, M.Th. Institut Agama Kristen Negeri (IAKN) Toraja. Bagi masyarakat Indonesia, tato merupakan aktitivas yang kini masih menjadi polemik. Kebanyakan masyarakat memahamahi bahwa bertato selalu identik dengan para pelaku kriminal. Secara kritis muncul pertanyaan dalam benak pikiran kita, apahubungan tattoo dengan kriminaPLalu ada juga yang menganggap bahwa tato adalah ungakapan spiritual yang mendalam terhadap kehidupan. Secara sederhana, motifnya dapat dikategorikan menjadi tiga bagian yaitu: seni, mengikuti trend (gaya-gayaan) dan spiritual kehidupan. Penulisan karya ilmiah ini menggunankan metode penelitian kualitatif, yang dilakuka dengan cara mewawancara penggunaa tattoo dalam simbol-simbol kekristenan di Kabupaten Tana Toraja untuk memperoleh informasi dan kemudian menganilis dengan analisis semiotika. Pada akhir penulisan karya ilmiah ini, penulis berharap bahwa setiap pembaca dapat memahami dan memperoleh informasi mengenai penggunaan tattoo dalam bentuk simbo-simbol kekristenan Nataniel Lamandhi. 2020154120. In 2020, compiled a thesis entitled "MASBERTO (Tattooed Society) Semiotic Analysis: TheologicaI Theological Meaning of Tattoo in the Form of Christian Symbols and Its Implications for the Stigma of Christian Society in Tana Toraja". Under the supervision of Dr. Agustinus, M.Th and Dr. Selvianty, M.Th. Toraja State Christian Institute (IAKN). For the people of Indonesia, tattoos are an activity which is still a polemic. Most people understand that getting tattoos is always synonymous with criminals. Critically the question arises in our minds, what is the relationship between tattoos and criminals? Then there are those who think that tattoos are a profound spiritual word for life. In simple terms, the motives can be categorized into three parts, namely: art, following trends (styles) and spiritual life. Writing this scientific paper uses a qualitative research method, which is done by interviewing the use of tattoos on symbols of Christianity in Tana Toraja Regency to obtain information and then analyzing it with semiotic analysis. At the end of writing this scientific paper, the author hopes that every reader can understand and get information about the use of tattoos in the form of Christian symbols.
