Abstract

ABSTRAK Elditrisne Grace (1020207595), menulis skripsi dengan judul “Analisis Peran Orang Tua dalam Membangun Perkembangan Spiritualitas Anak Usia 6-11 Tahun di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Garotin”. Di bawah bimbingan Ibu Yanni Paembonan, M.Pd.K., selaku pembimbing I dan Ibu Desti Samarenna, M.Th., selaku pembimbing II. Tulisan ini dilatarbelakangi dengan beberapa anak yang belum bisa berdoa secara pribadi, jarang mengikuti ibadah, pengetahuan isi Alkitab masih kurang dan kadang membantah orangtua. Tujuan penulisan untuk menganalisis peran orangtua dalam membangun perkembangan spiritualitas anak usia 6-11 tahun. Spiritualitas adalah hubungan dan pengalaman iman kepercayaan kepada Tuhan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Mendidik spiritualitas anak berarti mengajarkan anak agar bertumbuh serta menanamkan nilai-nilai kebenaran dari firman Tuhan, oleh sebab itu peran orangtua dalam keluarga sangat penting diperhatikan dan dilaksanakan. Penulis mendapatkan data dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif yaitu dengan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orangtua telah menjalankan perannya dalam keluarga tetapi belum maksimal. Hal ini dikarenakan beberapa orangtua belum sepenuhnya menjadi teladan dalam hal beribadah pada hari Minggu dan masih jarang bahkan belum membimbing anak untuk membaca firman Tuhan di rumah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor seperti kesibukan orangtua dan kurangnya komitmen yang mengakibatkan pengajaran dalam keluarga belum sepenuhnya terlaksana. Kata kunci: Anak, Orangtua, Peran, Spiritualitas ABSTRACT Elditrisne Grace (1020207595), wrote a thesis entitled "Analysis of the Role of Parents in Building the Development of Spirituality for Children Aged 6-11 Years at the Toraja Church of the Garotin Congregation". Under the guidance of Mrs. Yanni Paembonan, M.Pd.K. as supervisor I and Mrs. Desti Samarenna, M.Th. as supervisor II. This writing is motivated by some children who have not been able to pray in private, rarely attend worship, lack knowledge of the content of the Bible and sometimes deny their parents. The purpose of this article is to analyze the role of parents in building the spiritual development of children aged 6-11 years. Spirituality is the relationship and experience of faith in trust in God in daily life. Educating children's spirituality means teaching children to grow and instill the values of the truth of God's word, therefore the role of parents in the family is very important to be considered and implemented. The author obtained data using descriptive qualitative methods, namely by interview, observation and documentation techniques. The results of the study show that parents have carried out their roles in the family but have not been maximized. This is because some parents have not fully become role models because they still rarely worship on Sundays, and they still rarely even guide their children to read God's words at home. This is due to several factors such as the busyness of parents, lack of commitment which results in teaching in the family not being fully implemented.
