Abstract
ABSTRAK Daniel Sepi the title of the thesis of the political role of the Toraja church congregation of Hermon Manipi 'classic Bittuang, is guided by FransPaillinRumbi, M.Th as mentor I, and Ms. HerminBollan, M.Th as the second mentor. Politics is the arrangement / administration (administration) of a community and the relationship between them with a number of decisions, policies, authorities, or powers according to personal or group interests that carry out political practice, for personal interests and for the common good . The research method the author uses in this research is a qualitative research method or library study, which examines sources related to the topic through interviews and observations. The author hopes that every reader can gct an ovcrview of the political role of the church members and the community at large and especially for the Hermon Manipi Church 'Bittuang Classis Se'seng. At the end of this paper the author concludes that the political role of the Toraja Church of Hermon Manipi Church 'can be said that the political role of the church members does not understand the deeper politics so that their role in politics is not in accordance with moral values, ethics and political rules. ii ABSTRAK Daniel Sepi judul skripsi peran politik warga gereja toraja jemaat hermon manipi’ klasis bittuang se’seng, adibimbing oleh Frans Paillin Rumbi, M.Th selaku pembimbing I, dan Ibu Hermin Bollan, M.Th selaku pembimbing II. Politik adalah seni mengatur/menata (mengadministrasikan) sebuah komunitas dan hubungan antara mereka dengan sejumlah keputusan, kebijakan, kewenangan, atau kekuasaan menurut kepentingan pribadi atau golongan yang menjalankan praktek politik, demi kepentingan pribadi maupun kesejahteraan bersama. Adapun metode pcneltian penulis gunakan dalam penelitaian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif atau studi kepustakaan, yakni meneliti sumber-sumber yang berkaitan dengan topik tersebut melalui wawancara dan observasi. Penulis mengaharapkan bahwa setiap pembaca dapat memperoleh gambaran tentang peran politik warga gereja maupun masyarakat secara luas dan terlebih kusus bagi Jemaat Hermon Manipi’ Klasis Bittuang Se’seng. Pada akhir tulisan ini penulis menyimpulkan bawa peran politik Warga Gereja Toraja Jemaat Hermon Manipi’ dapat dikatakan bahwa peran politik warga gereja tersebut belum memahami politik yang lebih mendalam sehingga perannya dalam berpolitik tidak sesuai dengan nilai moral, etik, dan aturan politik.
