Abstract

Keluarga yang tidak utuh dan harmonis disebut keluarga broken home. Keadaan keluarga yang broken berdampak besar terhadap anak, termasuk terhadap kepercayaan dirinya. Hal ini dialami oleh mahasiswa broken home di Persekutuan Doa Mahasiswa IAKN Toraja. Namun, di PDM IAKN Toraja, anak broken home tersebut memiliki sahabat rohani yang menjadi sahabat bahkan keluarga bagi mereka. Karena itu, tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah mengkaji kepercayaan diri anak broken home di Persekutuan Doa Mahasiswa IAKN Toraja berdasarkan model spiritual companionship. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode penelitian kualitatif pendekatan studi lapangan. Adapun hasil temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada perubahan positif pada kepercayaan diri anak broken home seperti adanya penerimaan diri, berani mengambil resiko, memiliki konsep diri yang positif, dan percaya pada potensi diri sekalipun belum tercapai dengan maksimal. Hal tersebut dikarenakan sahabat rohani menjadi sosok yang dipercaya untuk berbagi cerita, memberi motivasi, membangun relasi dengan Tuhan, membentuk menjadi pribadi yang berkembang dalam berbagai aspek. Kata Kunci: Self Confidences, Spiritual Companionship, Broken Home. Abstract The family is not intact and harmonious is called a broken home family. Broken family circumstances have a big impact on children, including their self confidences. This was experienced by broken home students at the IAKN Toraja Student Prayer Fellowhsip. However, at PDM IAKN Toraja, these broken home children have spiritual friend who becomes friend and even family for them. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to examine the self confidences of broken home children in the IAKN Toraja Student Prayer Fellowship based on the spiritual mode of companionship. The method used is a qualitative method of field study approach. The findings from this study indicate that there are positive changes in the self confidences of broken home children such as self acceptance, taking risks, having a positive self concept, and believing in self potential even though it has not been optimally achieved. This is because a spiritual friend becomes a trusted figure for various stories, provides motivation, builds a relationship with God, forms a person who develops in various aspects. .
