Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih berlangsungnya praktik ma’ pebunga doi’ di Desa Tabah yang mengandung unsur riba dan menimbulkan dampak ekonomi, fisik, emosional, relasional, serta spiritual bagi para korban. Kondisi tersebut memerlukan pendekatan konseling pastoral yang mampu memberikan pendampingan secara holistik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis praktik ma’ pebunga doi’ serta menganalisis Konseling Pastoral Holistik Howard J. Clinebell bagi korban praktik riba di Desa Tabah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap delapan informan yang terdiri atas tiga pendeta, tiga korban praktik ma’ pebunga doi’, satu pemberi pinjaman, dan satu tokoh masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik ma’ pebunga doi’ masih berlangsung karena faktor kebutuhan ekonomi masyarakat. Praktik tersebut berdampak pada berbagai aspek kehidupan korban, yaitu ekonomi, fisik, emosional, relasional, ,dan spiritual. Berdasarkan analisis menggunakan enam dimensi Howard J. Clinebell, pelayanan gereja dinilai belum sepenuhnya memenuhi kebutuhan korban secara holistik. Oleh karena itu, Konseling Pastoral Holistik Howard J. Clinebell menjadi pendekatan yang relevan untuk mendukung pemulihan korban menuju wholeness (keutuhan hidup). Kata Kunci: Konseling Pastoral Holistik, Howard J. Clinebell, Ma’ pebunga doi’, Riba. ABSTRACT This study is motivated by the continuing practice of ma’ pebunga doi’ in Tabah Village, which involves elements of usury and has economic, physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual impacts on its victims. These conditions require a holistic pastoral counseling approach. This study aims to analyze the practice of ma’ pebunga doi’ and examine the application of Howard J. Clinebell's Holistic Pastoral Counseling for victims of usury practices in Tabah Village. This research employed a qualitative method using observation, interviews, and documentation. The participants consisted of eight informants: three pastors, three victims of ma’ pebunga doi’, one lender, and one community leader. The findings reveal that the practice of ma’ pebunga doi’ continues due to the community's economic needs. The practice negatively affects the victims' economic, physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being. Based on Howard J. Clinebell's six dimensions of wholeness, the study concludes that church ministry has not yet fully addressed the victims' holistic needs. Therefore, Howard J. Clinebell's Holistic Pastoral Counseling is considered a relevant approach to help victims achieve wholeness. Keywords: Holistic Pastoral Counseling, Howard J. Clinebell, Ma’ pebunga doi’, Usury.
