Abstract

Penulis bertujuan menganalisis praktik hidup bersama setelah ma’parampo di Jemaat Siloam Tete Uri ditinjau dari perspektif etika komunitas Stanley Hauerwas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik hidup bersama setelah ma’parampo dipengaruhi oleh pandangan bahwa ma’parampo telah memberikan legitimasi adat terhadap hubungan tersebut dan didukung oleh persetujuan keluarga, faktor ekonomi dan pengaruh lingkungan. Namun, menurut ajaran kekristenan dan Tata Gereja Toaraja, ma’parampo belum dapat dianggap sebagai perkawinan yang sah karena belum diteguhkan melalui pemberkatan perkawinan gerejawi. Penulis menyimpulkan bahwa dalam perspektif Stanley Hauerwas, fenomena ini menunjukkan belum optimalnya pembentukan karakter moral jemaat oleh komunitas iman sehingga nilai-nilai adat lebih dominan memengaruhi keputusan pasangan. Penulis menyimpulkan bahwa gereja perluh memperkuat pembinaan karakter iman dan pendampingan pastoral agar jemaat semakin memahami perkawinan Kristen sebagai perjanjian kudus di hadapan Allah dan jemaat. ABSTRACT The author aims to analyze the practice of living together after ma’parampo in the Siloam Tete Uri congregation from the perspective of Stanley Hauerwas community ethics. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews and literature review. The results indicate that the practice of living together after ma’parampo is influenced by the view that ma’parampo has provided customary legitimacy to the relationship and is supported by family approval, economic factors,and environmental influences. However, according to Christian teachings and the torajan church order, ma’parampo cannot be considered a legal marriage because it has not been confirmen through a church blessing. The author finds that, from Stanley Hauerwas perspective, this phenomenon indicates that the congregation’s moral character formation by the faith community is not optimal,resulting in customary values being a dominan influence on the couple’s decisions. The author concludes that the church needs to strengthen faith character development and pastoral care so that the congregation increasingly understands Christian marriage as a sacred covenant before god and the congration.
