Abstract

Film Home Sweet Loan mengangkat realitas kehidupan generasi muda yang menghadapi tekanan ekonomi, tanggung jawab keluarga, dan pergumulan dalam mewujudkan impian pribadi. Karakter Kaluna sebagai tokoh utama digambarkan sebagai seorang perempuan muda yang harus menjalani peran sebagai tulang punggung keluarga sekaligus memperjuangkan cita-citanya untuk memiliki rumah sendiri. Kondisi tersebut memperlihatkan fenomena generasi Sandwich yang semakin banyak dialami oleh generasi muda masa kini.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakter Kaluna dalam film Home Sweet Loan dan relevansinya bagi Generasi Z dalam perspektif teologi keluarga. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan netnografi dan studi pustaka. Data diperoleh dari film Home Sweet Loan serta berbagai literatur yang membahas Generasi Z, generasi Sandwich, dan teologi keluarga. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan analisis wacana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kaluna merepresentasikan sosok Generasi Z yang mandiri, pekerja keras, bertanggung jawab, dan peduli terhadap keluarga. Sebagai bagian dari generasi Sandwich, ia menghadapi berbagai tekanan ekonomi dan emosional yang mendorongnya untuk mengutamakan kepentingan keluarga di atas kepentingan pribadi. Dalam perspektif teologi keluarga, karakter Kaluna mencerminkan nilai-nilai Kristiani seperti kasih, pengorbanan, tanggung jawab, kesetiaan, dan solidaritas. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa film Home Sweet Loan tidak hanya menjadi media hiburan, tetapi juga sarana refleksi mengenai pentingnya keluarga dalam pembentukan karakter dan penghayatan iman. Karakter Kaluna dapat menjadi teladan bagi Generasi Z dalam menghadapi tantangan hidup dengan mengedepankan kasih dan tanggung jawab terhadap sesama. ABSTRACT The film Home Sweet Loan highlights the reality of the lives of young people who face economic pressures, family responsibilities, and struggles in realizing personal dreams. The character of Kaluna as the main character is depicted as a young woman who must carry out the role of the backbone of the family while fighting for her dream of owning her own home. This condition shows the phenomenon of the Sandwich generation that is increasingly experienced by today's young generation. This study aims to analyze the character of Kaluna in the film Home Sweet Loan and its relevance for Generation Z from the perspective of family theology. The study used a qualitative method with a netnography approach and literature study. Data were obtained from the film Home Sweet Loan and various literature discussing Generation Z, the Sandwich generation, and family theology. Data analysis was carried out using discourse analysis. The results of the study show that Kaluna represents a figure of Generation Z who is independent, hardworking, responsible, and cares about her family. As part of the Sandwich generation, she faces various economic and emotional pressures that encourage her to prioritize family interests above personal interests. From the perspective of family theology, Kaluna's character reflects Christian values such as love, sacrifice, responsibility, loyalty, and solidarity. This study concludes that the film Home Sweet Loan is not only a form of entertainment but also a means of reflection on the importance of family in character formation and the appreciation of faith. The character of Kaluna can serve as a role model for Generation Z in facing life's challenges by prioritizing love and responsibility for others.
