Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kepemimpinan sahabat terhadap efektivitas pelayanan di Jemaat Elim Bau Tibong. Latar belakang penelitian berangkat dari kebutuhan gereja akan pemimpin yang mampu membangun relasi, menghadirkan kasih, serta menumbuhkan kebersamaan dalam pelayanan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan sahabat berkontribusi dalam menciptakan pelayanan yang lebih efektif, memperkuat solidaritas jemaat, serta meningkatkan keterlibatan dalam pelayanan. Meskipun demikian, penelitian juga menemukan adanya hambatan berupa rendahnya partisipasi jemaat, rasa takut tampil di depan umum, serta dinamika emosional ketika menghadapi penolakan. Faktor-faktor ini menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas pelayanan membutuhkan konsistensi, pembinaan berkelanjutan, serta komitmen bersama dari seluruh jemaat dan majelis. Dengan demikian, kepemimpinan sahabat terbukti relevan dalam membangun pelayanan yang transformatif, namun keberhasilannya sangat bergantung pada kesediaan jemaat untuk memberi diri secara konsisten demi pertumbuhan iman dan pelayanan yang bermakna. ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the role of friendly leadership in the effectiveness of service at Elim Bau Tibong Congregation. The research background arises from the church's need for leaders who can build relationships, show love, and foster togetherness in service. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with observation, interviews, and literature study techniques. The results show that friendly leadership contributes to creating more effective service, strengthening congregational solidarity, and increasing involvement in service. Even so, research also found obstacles such as low congregation participation, fear of speaking in public, and emotional ups and downs when facing rejection. These factors show that service effectiveness requires consistency, ongoing guidance, and a shared commitment from the entire congregation and leadership. Therefore, companion leadership proves to be relevant in building transformative service, but its success largely depends on the congregation's willingness to consistently dedicate themselves for the growth of faith and meaningful service.
