Abstract

Jellistari,1020229098 menyusun skripsi dengan judul ”Analisis Makna Tradisi Tumete dan Relevansinya bagi Pendidikan Ekologi Masyarakat Seko Desa Hoyane” Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis makna tradisi Tumete dan relevansinya bagi pendidikan ekologi di desa Hoyane. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis metode Etnografi untuk mengkaji sesuatu sesuai dengan pandangan masyarakat melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi di lokasi penelitian. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah tokoh adat, pemerintah dan masyarakat. Data yang dikumpul dianalisis dengan cara reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini mengunakan Teori Ekologi berjudul Ekologi Manusia yang membahas bahwa ekologi merujuk pada keselarasan dan keharmonisan semua unsur alam. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa masyarakat desa Hoyane sangat menghargai hutan atau alam dengan ini mereka memiliki pengetahuan bahwa kegiatan Tumete tidak dilakukan di hutan lindung dan tidak menganggu area yang telah ditentukan oleh pemerintah sehingga mereka membuka lahan di hutan adat. Kata Kunci: Makna tradisi Tumete, Pendidikan Ekologi ABSTRACT Jellistari, 1020229098 authored a thesis titled "An Analysis of the Meaning of the Tumete Tradition and Its Relevance to Ecological Education for the Seko Community in Hoyane Village." This study aims to analyze the meaning of the Tumete tradition and its relevance to ecological education in Hoyane Village. It employs a descriptive qualitative research method—specifically ethnography—to examine the subject from the community's perspective through observation, interviews, and documentation at the research site. The informants for this study included traditional leaders, government officials, and community members. The collected data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The study utilizes Human Ecology theory, which posits that ecology refers to the balance and harmony of all natural elements. The research findings indicate that the people of Hoyane Village deeply respect the forest and nature; consequently, they are aware that Tumete activities must not be conducted in protected forests or encroach upon government-designated areas, leading them to clear land within customary forests instead.
