Abstract

Jeliani Paliling. “Analisis Peran Majelis Gereja terhadap Ketidakaktifan Anggota PPGT Jemaat Bantere dan Implikasinya Bagi Pertumbuhan Gereja. (Dibimbing oleh Ibu Sri Rahayu Pabebangan, M.M., S.M dan Bapak Andres Barata Yudha, Ph.D.) Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran majelis gereja terhadap ketidakaktifan anggota PPGT Jemaat Bantere serta implikasinya bagi pertumbuhan gereja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah dapat mengetahui peran majelis gereja terhadap anggota PPGT yang kurang aktif dan implikasinya bagi pertumbuhan gereja. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. teori utama yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori BruceJ. Biddle dan Alexander W. Astin yang mencangkup pelaksanaan , tanggung jawab terhadap jemaat , keteladanan hidup Kristen, pembinaan dan penggembalaan jemaat, keikutsertaan dalam kegiatan, partisipasi aktif, dan perhatian dan kepedulian. Hasil penelitian ini adalah majelis gereja jemaat Bantere sudah menjalankan tugas dan tanggung jawab dalam pelayanannya. Namun, tidak semua majelis gereja sudah menjalankan peran mereka. Dan implikasinya bagi pertumbuhan gereja yaitu pertumbuhan iman jemaat menjadi terhambat karena kurangnya pembinaan, arahan, dan keteladanan rohani yang seharusnya diberikan, secara khusus bagi organisasi PPGT. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa majelis yang belum dijalankan dengan baik, sehingga memberikan dampak kepada organisasi PPGT seperti beberapa anggota yang menjadi tidak aktif, jarang hadir, dan tidak lagi ikut dalam pelayanan karena tidak diperhatikan. "An Analysis of the Role of the Church Council in the Inactivity of PPGT Members of the Bantere Congregation and Its Implications for Church Growth." (Supervised by Ms. Sri Rahayu Pabebangan, M.M., S.M., and Mr. Andres Barata Yudha, Ph.D.) This study aims to analyze the role of the church council in the inactivity of PPGT members of the Bantere Congregation and its implications for church growth. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of the church council in the inactive PPGT members and its implications for church growth. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and document study. The primary theory used in this study is the theory of Bruce J. Biddle and Alexander W. Astin, which encompasses implementation, responsibility towards the congregation, exemplary Christian living, congregational development and shepherding, participation in activities, active participation, and attention and care. The results of this study indicate that the church council of the Bantere Congregation has carried out its duties and responsibilities in its ministry. However, not all church councils have fulfilled their roles. The implication for church growth is that the congregation's faith growth is hampered. This is due to the lack of guidance, direction, and spiritual role models that should be provided, specifically for the PPGT organization. It can be concluded that the assembly has not been run properly, which has impacted the PPGT organization, such as some members becoming inactive, rarely attending, and no longer participating in services due to lack of attention.
