Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran ayah dalam pengasuhan anak di Lembang Ke’pe’ Tinoring. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif fenomenologi. Ayah memiliki peran penting bukan hanya sebagai pencari nafkah tetapi juga sebagai pendidik, pemberi motivasi, fasilitator, pembimbing dan teladan bagi anak melalui buah roh, seperti kasih, sukacita, damai sejahtera, kesabaran, kemurahan, kebaikan, kesetiaan, kelemahlembutan dan penguasaan diri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ayah yang terlibat secara aktif dalam mendidik, memberi motivasi, fasilitator, pembimbing dan menjadi teladan melalui sikap yang mencerinkan buah roh dapat membantu anak bertumbuh dalam iman, moral dan kehidupan sosial yang baik. Namun, masih terdapat ayah yang belum sepenuhnya terlibat dalam pengasuhan sehingga hal tersebut mempengaruhi pembentukan iman dan karakter anak. Oleh karena itu, ayah diharapkan dapat terlibat secara aktif dalam pengasuhan serta menjadi teladan yang baik bagi anak agar mereka dapat bertumbuh dalam iman, karakter dan kehidupan yang sesuai dengan ajaran kristen. Kata kunci:peran ayah, pengasuhan, pendidikan kristen. ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the role of fathers in child rearing in Lembang Ke'pe' Tinoring. This study uses a qualitative phenomenological method. Fathers have an important role not only as breadwinners but also as educators, motivators, facilitators, guides, and role models for children through the fruit of the spirit, such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. The results of the study indicate that fathers who are actively involved in educating, motivating, facilitating, guiding, and being role models through attitudes that reflect the fruit of the spirit can help children grow in faith, morals, and good social lives. However, there are still fathers who are not fully involved in parenting, which affects the formation of children's faith and character. Therefore, fathers are expected to be actively involved in parenting and be good role models for children so that they can grow in faith, character, and life in accordance with Christian teachings.
