Abstract
Kata kunci: Daniel 6:1–29, Moderasi Beragama, Tafsir Seeing Through. ABSTRACT This study examines how the values of religious moderation can be identified and interpreted in Daniel 6:1–29 within the context of Indonesia’s religiously plural society. The aim of this research is to explore values of religious moderation reflected not only in the character of Daniel but also in the attitudes of King Darius and the dynamics of the royal officials, using the Seeing Through interpretive approach. This study is grounded in the theory of religious moderation, which emphasizes national commitment, tolerance, non-violence, and accommodative attitudes toward local culture. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a contextual hermeneutical approach of Seeing Through. The findings indicate that values of religious moderation are manifested in Daniel’s peaceful faithfulness as well as in King Darius’s efforts to uphold justice and avoid violence. Therefore, Daniel 6:1–29 is relevant as a theological foundation for the practice of religious moderation in plural societies. Keywords: Daniel 6:1–29, Religious Moderation, Seeing Through Interpretation.
