Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas peran kepemimpinan transformasional gembala dalam membangun disiplin rohani jemaat di GPSDI Jemaat Poka. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada pentingnya disiplin rohani sebagai fondasi pertumbuhan iman jemaat serta kebutuhan akan kepemimpinan gembala yang tidak hanya bersifat administratif, tetapi juga mampu mentransformasi kehidupan rohani jemaat. Permasalahan penelitian difokuskan pada bagaimana peran kepemimpinan transformasional gembala serta dampaknya terhadap disiplin rohani jemaat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dengan gembala sebagai pemimpin utama, anggota jemaat, dan pemimpin lapisan kedua, yang didukung oleh observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kerangka teori kepemimpinan transformasional yang meliputi pengaruh ideal (idealized influence), motivasi inspiratif (inspirational motivation), stimulasi intelektual (intellectual stimulation), dan pertimbangan individual (individualized consideration). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gembala GPSDI Jemaat Poka telah menerapkan kepemimpinan transformasional melalui keteladanan hidup rohani, pengkomunikasian visi rohani yang jelas dan inspiratif, dorongan terhadap refleksi serta pengembangan praktik rohani yang bermakna, serta perhatian dan pendampingan secara personal kepada jemaat. Kepemimpinan tersebut memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan disiplin rohani jemaat, baik secara pribadi maupun kolektif, yang terlihat dalam kehidupan doa, pembacaan Alkitab, kehadiran dalam ibadah, serta keterlibatan dalam pelayanan. Meskipun demikian, masih terdapat tantangan dalam menjaga konsistensi disiplin rohani jemaat. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penguatan strategi pembinaan dan peningkatan keterlibatan pemimpin lapisan kedua agar proses pembentukan disiplin rohani jemaat dapat berjalan lebih efektif dan berkelanjutan. ABSTRACT This study examines the role of the pastor’s transformational leadership in building the spiritual discipline of the congregation at GPSDI Jemaat Poka. The background of this research is based on the importance of spiritual discipline as a foundation for the growth of the congregation’s faith, as well as the need for pastoral leadership that is not merely administrative in nature but is also capable of transforming the spiritual life of the congregation. The research problem focuses on the role of the pastor’s transformational leadership and its impact on the spiritual discipline of the congregation. This study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews with the pastor as the primary leader, members of the congregation, and second-level leaders, supported by observation and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the framework of transformational leadership theory, which includes idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. The findings indicate that the pastor of GPSDI Jemaat Poka has implemented transformational leadership through spiritual role modeling, the communication of a clear and inspiring spiritual vision, encouragement for reflection and the development of meaningful spiritual practices, as well as personal attention and pastoral accompaniment to the congregation. This leadership has a positive impact on the improvement of the congregation’s spiritual discipline, both individually and collectively, as reflected in prayer life, Bible reading, participation in worship, and involvement in ministry. Nevertheless, challenges remain in maintaining the consistency of the congregation’s spiritual discipline. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen mentoring strategies and increase the involvement of second-level leaders so that the process of forming the congregation’s spiritual discipline can be carried out more effectively and sustainably.
