Abstract

Frans Toding (3020218507), Dengan judul skripsi “ Analisis Sikap Gereja Terhadap Partisipasi Politik dan Relevansinya Bagi Gereja Toraja Jemaat Tanete”. Pembimbing I Sepriadi Bunga, S.Pd, M.Ag. Pembimbing II Admadi Balloara Dase, S.Th, M. Hum. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya pandangan negatif terhadap politik yang sering menimbulkan perpecahan di tengah Jemaat, sehingga gereja perlu menentukan sikap yang tepat dalam membimbing partisipasi politik jemaat agar tetap sejalan dengan nilai-nilai Iman Kristen. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana Sikap Gereja Terhadap Partisipasi Politik dan Relevansinya Bagi Gereja Toraja Jemaat Tanete. Teori dasar Partisipasi politik Miriam Budiardjo,Teori demokrasi, Teologi Gereja, Tri panggilan gereja, hubungan gereja dan politik, Pengakuan Iman gereja Toraja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka, dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian yang di lakukan oleh penulis, menunjukkan bahwa sikap gereja terhadap partisipasi politik jemaat masih bersikap hati-hati srta cenderung normatif, dengan penekanan pada kepentingnya menjaga kesatuan jemaat serta menghindari konflik internal. Di sisi lain, keterbatasan pemahaman jemaat mengenai partisipasi politik yang sehat dan sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Iman Kristen masih ditemukan, karena itu gereja diharapkan mampu berperan lebih aktif dalam memberikan pendidikan beretika, kritis, dan bertanggung jawab, sehingga jemaat mampu berpartisipasi dalam berpolitik tanpa mengabaikan panggilan iman dan kesaksian gereja di tengah masyarakat. This research is motivated by the negative views on politics that often cause division in the Church, so the church needs to determine the right attitude in guiding the political participation of the church so that it remains in line with the values of the Christian Faith. The purpose of this study is to find out how the Church's Attitude Towards Political Participation and its Relevance to the Toraja Church of the Tanete Congregation. Basic theory of political participation Miriam Budiardjo, Theory of democracy, Church Theology, Tri vocation of the church, relationship between church and politics, Confession of Faith of the Toraja church. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, literature studies, and documentation. From the results of the research conducted by the author, it shows that the church's attitude towards the political participation of the congregation is still cautious and tends to be normative, with an emphasis on the importance of maintaining the unity of the congregation and avoiding internal conflicts. On the other hand, the limited understanding of the congregation regarding healthy political participation and in accordance with the values of the Christian Faith is still found, therefore the church is expected to be able to play a more active role in providing ethical, critical, and responsible education, so that the congregation is able to participate in politics without ignoring the church's call to faith and witness in the community.
