Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan social responsibility (tanggung jawab sosial) warga gereja di Seko Lemo terhadap problem sosial khususnya infrastruktur jalan ke Seko Lemo. Sejauh ini warga gereja di Seko Lemo telah teralienasi dari tanggung jawab sosialnya. Hal ini disebabkan oleh berbagai ideologis yang hidup di dalam warga gereja yang mengekang mereka seperti struktur gereja yang represif, determinisme teologis dan penafsiran sejarah kolektif yang membentuk kesadaran palsu dan pandangan kerja yang individualistik menggunakan teori alienasi dan kritik ideologi persepektif Karl Marx. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan postkolonial serta teknik pengumpulan data studi pustaka dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa agar social responsibility warga gereja di Seko Lemo tumbuh maka ideologi yang merepresi tindakan dan pikiran warga gereja perlu dikritisi. Dengan logika dialektis maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penafsiran secara baru kerja bagi warga gereja sebagai jawaban atas panggilan Allah untuk bekerja bagi masyarakat, menanamkan dalam struktur gereja tanggung jawab membela masyarakat yang tidak terpenuhi haknya, membaca secara baru determinisme teologis yang terarah kearah masa depan yang diorientasikan dalam suatu praxis serta dilandaskan pada suatu keyakinan tentang kehadiran Allah di tengah-tengah warga gereja di Seko Lemo di sini dan saat ini, dan mendorng kesadaran bahwa warga seko lemo memiliki potensi untuk berubah. Semua itu merupakan upaya untuk membangun misi gereja yang peduli terhadap kerusakan infrastruktur jalan. Kata kunci: Social responsibility, kritik ideologi, Alienasi, warga gereja, Seko Lemo ABSTRACT This study aims to foster social responsibility among church members in Seko Lemo regarding social problems, particularly road infrastructure to Seko Lemo. To date, church members in Seko Lemo have been alienated from their social responsibilities. This is due to various ideologies within the church members that constrain them, such as repressive church structures, theological determinism, and collective historical interpretations that shape false consciousness and individualistic work views. This paper utilizes a qualitative method with a postcolonial approach, along with data collection techniques such as literature review and in-depth interviews. The results indicate that for social responsibility among church members in Seko Lemo to grow, ideologies that repress the actions and thoughts of church members need to be critiqued. Using dialectical logic, it can be concluded that a new interpretation of work for church members as a response to God's call to work for the community, instilling within the church structure the responsibility to defend communities whose rights are not fulfilled, a new reading of theological determinism directed toward the future, oriented in a praxis and grounded in a belief in God's presence among church members in Seko Lemo here and now, and fostering awareness that Seko Lemo residents have the potential to change. All of these are efforts to build a church mission that cares about damaged road infrastructure. Keywords: Social responsibility, ideological criticism, alienation, church members, Seko Lemo
