Abstract

Adapun topik ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pengamatan penulis terhadap masyarakat di Kelurahan Tondon Mamullu yang memiliki penduduk yang bercampuran antara Penduduk lokal dan masyarakat pendatang sehingga penulis tertarik untuk mengangkat penelitian ini. Fenomena ini menyebabkan interaksi yang intens antara penduduk lokal dan masyarakat pendatang. Dalam interaksi tersebut, seringkali muncul dinamika relasi sosial yang kompleks, mulai dari kerja sama, kompetisi, hingga konflik yang didasari oleh kepentingan ekonomi, budaya, dan kekuasaan. Penelitian ini berjudul Analisis Relasi Sosial Penduduk Lokal dan Masyarakat Pendatang Dalam Perspektif Pilihan Rasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola relasi masyarakat Bugis Makassar yang umumnya tertutup dalam membangun relasi terhadap penduduk lokal dan pola relasi masyarakat Jawa yang terbuka terhadap penduduk lokal. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pola relasi yang diterapkan oleh masyarakat Bugis Makassar yang tertutup dan masyarakat Jawa yang lebih terbuka dalam menjalin dan membangun relasi dengan penduduk lokal karena dipengaruhi oleh pilihan yang rasional khususnya pengaruh aktor dan sumber daya yang merujuk pada ekonomi dan agama. Masyarakat Bugis Makassar melihat bahwa membangun hubungan dan ikut dalam kegiatan sosial merupakan hal yang bukan prioritas utama dibandingkan dengan pekerjaan mereka yang berpenghasilan serta menguntungkan sedangkan masyarakat Jawa lebih aktif karena melihat bahwa melalui hubungan yang baik dengan masyarakat Lokal dapat mempertahankan posisi pasar/dagangan sehingga pola relasi yang dibangun dianggap sebagai strategi dalam berbisnis. ABSTRACT This topic is motivated by the author's observations of the community in Tondon Mamullu Village, which has a mixed population of local residents and immigrants, which led to his interest in conducting this research. This phenomenon leads to intense interactions between local residents and immigrants. In these interactions, complex social dynamics often emerge, ranging from cooperation and competition to conflict, based on economic, cultural, and power interests. This research, entitled "Analysis of Social Relations Between Local Residents and Immigrants from a Rational Choice Perspective," aims to examine the relationship patterns of the Bugis Makassarese, who are generally closed in establishing relationships with local residents, and the Javanese, who are more open in establishing and building relationships with local residents. This research demonstrates that the relationship patterns adopted by the closed Bugis Makassarese and the more open Javanese in establishing and building relationships with local residents are influenced by rational choices, particularly the influence of actors and resources related to economics and religion. The Bugis Makassar community sees that building relationships and participating in social activities is not a top priority compared to their work which is profitable and profitable, while the Javanese community is more active because they see that through good relationships with the local community they can maintain their market/trade position so that the relationship patterns built are considered a strategy in business.
