Abstract

Penulis Menyusun skripsi ini dengan judul “Kajian Teologis Upacara Adat Massolo’ di Rongkong dan Relevansinya Bagi Gereja Toraja Jemaat Pniel Kanandede”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji upacara adat Massolo’ di Rongkong dari perspektif teologis dan relevansinya bagi kehidupan iman jemaat Gereja Toraja, khususnya Jemaat Pniel Kanandede. Penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dalam bentuk studi pustaka dan menggunakan referensi berupa jurnal, beberapa literatur di internet, dan buku-buku lain yang relevan. Penelitian dilakukan langsung di lapangan guna mendapat informasi yang sesuai dengan masalah penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan oleh penulis, menunjukkan bahwa upacara ini mengandung nilai-nilai positif seperti penghormatan kepada tamu-tamu, solidaritas komunitas, dan semangat kebersamaan. Relevansinya bagi Jemaat Pniel Kanandede terletak pada bagaimana gereja dapat mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai budaya yang membangun dengan pemahaman iman yang murni, demi memperkuat kesaksian dan persekutuan jemaat dalam konteks budaya Rongkong. Kata kunci : Massolo’ Gereja Toraja, Teologi dan Budaya ABSTRACT The author wrote this thesis with the title "Theological Study of the Massolo' Traditional Ceremony in Rongkong and Its Relevance for the Toraja Church of the Pniel Kanandede Congregation". This study aims to study the Massolo' traditional ceremony in Rongkong from a theological perspective and its relevance to the faith life of the Toraja Church congregation, especially the Pniel Kanandede Congregation. The author uses a qualitative research method in the form of a literature study and uses references in the form of journals, several literatures on the internet, and other relevant books. The research was conducted directly in the field in order to obtain information that is in accordance with the research problem. Based on the results of the research conducted by the author, it shows that this ceremony contains positive values such as respect for guests, community solidarity, and a spirit of togetherness. Its relevance for the Pniel Kanandede Congregation lies in how the church can integrate constructive cultural values with a pure understanding of faith, in order to strengthen the testimony and fellowship of the congregation in the Rongkong cultural context.
