Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi makna frasa "merenungkan Taurat siang dan malam" dalam konteks Yosua 1:1-18 dan implikasinya terhadap etika penggunaan Alkitab digital melalui metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan eksegese gramatikal historis yang melibatkan studi literatur ekstensif, tafsiran klasik dan kontemporer, kamus bahasa Ibrani, serta aplikasi bible works. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknologi digital dalam bentuk aplikasi Alkitab membawa peluang sekaligus tantangan bagi kehidupan spiritual umat Kristen, di mana prinsip-prinsip dalam Yosua 1 memberikan fondasi etis yang kuat untuk penggunaan Alkitab digital yang bertanggung jawab dan meliputi prioritas meditasi mendalam yang tidak boleh digantikan oleh kuantitas akses semata, ketaatan total tanpa kompromi yang menghindari praktik "cherry-picking" ayat, kehadiran Firman dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang diperkuat melalui kemudahan akses digital namun tetap konsisten dan otentik, serta implementasi yang memperhatikan konteks historis dan teologis dengan menjadikan Firman Tuhan sebagai sumber kekuatan utama dan memprioritaskan transformasi hidup melalui renungan mendalam daripada sekadar konsumsi informasi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan Alkitab digital dapat menjadi berkat dan sarana pertumbuhan spiritual yang efektif ketika dilandasi oleh prinsip-prinsip alkitabiah yang solid dan dilakukan dengan sikap hati yang benar, terutama bagi para pemimpin yang memerlukan kepemimpinan berpusat pada Tuhan dalam memanfaatkan alat digital untuk memperdalam pemahaman akan kehendak Tuhan. Kata Kunci : Alkitab Digital, Kitab Yosua, Gramatikal Historis Abstract This research explores the meaning of the phrase "meditating on the Law day and night" within the context of Joshua 1:1-18 and its implications for the ethics of using digital Bibles. The study employs a qualitative research method with a historical-grammatical exegetical approach, involving extensive literature review, classic and contemporary commentaries, Hebrew language dictionaries, and Bible Works software. The findings indicate that digital technology, in the form of Bible applications, presents both opportunities and challenges for the spiritual lives of Christians. The principles found in Joshua 1 provide a strong ethical foundation for responsible digital Bible use, encompassingmeditation which should not be replaced by mere quantity of access.Total and uncompromising obedience that avoids the practice of "cherry-picking" verses. The presence of the Word in daily life, which is enhanced by the ease of digital access but must remain consistent and authentic. Implementation that considers historical and theological contexts, making God's Word the primary source of strength and prioritizing life transformation through deep reflection rather than just information consumption. This research concludes that the use of digital Bibles can be a blessing and an effective means of spiritual growth when grounded in solid biblical principles and approached with the right heart attitude, especially for leaders who require God-centered leadership in utilizing digital tools to deepen their understanding of God's will.
