Abstract

Konsistori adalah sebuah ruang yang ada dalam bagian Gereja yang biasanya terletak pada bagian belakang, konsistori ialah sebuah tempat para pejabat dalam Gereja. Konsistori sendiri dibentuk seperti Lembaga yang kemudian juga Bersama-sama berjalan dalam setiap melaksanakan disiplin dan juga pada penerapan-penerapan dalam setiap kehidupan sehari-hari. Karena itu konsistori berfungsi sebagai tempat untuk mempersiapkan pelayanan-pelayanan, penggembalaan dan pendampingan kepada orang-orang yang membutuhkan. Latar belakang penelitian ini ialah jemaat masih menggunakan Ruang Konsistori itu untuk menyimpan barang-barang yang tidak berkaitan dengan ibadah, karena itu tujuan penelitian ini hendaknya mendeskripsikan apa dan bagaimana fungsi ruang konsistori menurut John Calvin, serta relevansinya bagi Gereja Toraja Jemaat Sion Langsa’. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Kualitatif, metode deskriptif. Bentuk pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara. Kata Kunci: Pengguna, Ruang Konsistori, Relevansi, John Calvin. ABSTRACT The consistory is a room in the church which is usually located at the back, the consistory is a place for officials in the church. The consistory itself is formed as an institution which then also works together in implementing discipline in implementing it in everyday life. Therefore, the consistory functions as a place to prepare services, shepherding and mentoring for people in need. The background of this study is that the congregation still uses the Consistory Room to store items that are not related to worship, therefore the purpose of this study is to describe what and how the function of the consistory room is according to John Calvin, and its relevance to the Toraja Church of Sion Langsa'. This study uses a qualitative research type, descriptive method. The form of data collection through observation and interviews. Keywords: Users, consistory space, relevance, John Calvin
