Abstract
Indonesia merupakan negara kepulauan dengan penduduk yang memiliki keberagaman budaya dan keyakinan agama. Khususnya di Kota Enrekang dikenal dengan keberagaman agama yang tinggi, namun masih terdapat diskriminasi atau perbedaan perlakuan terhadap umat minoritas, termasuk Gereja Toraja Jemaat Imanuel Enrekang. Mulai dari mengadapi tantangan dalam pembangunan Gereja dan dalam bentuk perbedaan perlakuan atau pengejekan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Gereja Toraja Jemaat Imanuel Enrekang mengimplementasikan nilai pengampunan sebagai wujud moderasi beragama. Menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan majelis (Pendeta & Penatua), anggota PPGT, dan salah satu Jemaat Imanuel Enrekang, serta observasi lapangan, studi pustaka, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teori Forgive to Live dari Dick Tibbits. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Gereja Toraja Jemaat Imanuel Enrekang mengimplementasikan nilai pengampunan melalui khotbah, pelayanan, pengelolaan emosi negatif, serta keterlibatan aktif dalam kegiatan lintas agama dan juga beberapa anggota jemaat terlibat dalam kepengurusan FKUB. Dengan demikian implementasi nilai pengampunan sebagai wujud moderasi beragama tidak hanya mencerminkan kedewasaan iman jemaat, tetapi juga memperkuat eksistensi gereja sebagai agen perdamaian dan pelaku moderasi beragama. Kata kunci: Gereja Toraja Jemaat Imanuel Enrekang, Pengampunan, Moderasi Beragama. ABSTRACT Indonesia is an archipelagic country with a population rich in cultural and religious diversity. Specifically, the city of Enrekang is known for its high level of religious diversity. However, there are still cases of discrimination and unequal treatment toward religious minorities, including the Toraja Church Congregation of Imanuel Enrekang. These challenges include obstacles in church development as well as various forms of discrimination or mockery. This research aims to explore how the Toraja Church Congregation of Imanuel Enrekang implements the value of forgiveness as a form of religious moderation. Using a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with church council members (Pastor and Elders), members of the Toraja Christian Youth (PPGT), and one member of the congregation, along with field observations, literature studies, and document reviews. The data were analyzed using Dick Tibbits’ Forgive to Live theory. The results of the study show that the Toraja Church Congregation of Imanuel Enrekang implements the value of forgiveness through preaching, pastoral service, managing negative emotions, and active involvement in interfaith activities. In fact, several members of the congregation are also involved in the leadership of the Interfaith Harmony Forum (FKUB). Therefore, the implementation of forgiveness as a form of religious moderation not only reflects the spiritual maturity of the congregation but also strengthens the church’s existence as an agent of peace and a promoter of religious moderation.
