Abstract

Penelitian ini bertolak dari keprihatinan terhadap makin berkurangnya pemahaman generasi muda terhadap makna dan nilai-nilai budaya dalam ritual rambu solo’. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam bullean to tuo di Lembang Buntu La’bo’, menggunakan teori hierarki nilai dari Max Scheler. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis, melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam bullean to tuo terkandung nilai, kekeluargaan, solidaritas, penghargaan dan adat. Nilai kekeluargaan sebagian solidaritas dan peghargaan dikategorikan sebagai nilai spiritual karena didasari oleh kasih, kesetiaan, dan pengorbanan batiniah. Namun nilai adat dan sebagain nilai solidaritas yang dijalankan karena suatu kewajiban sosial atau kebiasaan, termasuk dalam nilai vital. Hal ini sejalan jika dilihat dalam perspektif Max Scheler maka tradisi bullean to tuo ini termuat didalam hierarki nilai khususnya pada hierarki nilai spiritual dan vitual. Kata Kunci: Nilai, bullean to tuo, Max Sheler, simbol ABSTRACT This research stems from concern over the declining understanding og the younger generation regarding the meaning and cultural vulues of the rambu solo’. This study aims to analyze the values embodied in the bullean to tuo ritual in Lembang Buntu La’bo’, using Max Scheler’s hierarchy of values theory. The method used was qualitative with a phenomenological approach, through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that the bullean to tuo tradition embodies the values of family, solidarity, respect, and custom. Family values, some solidarity, and respect are categorized as spiritual values because they are based on love, loyalty, and inner sacrifice. However, customary values and some solidarity values, carried out of social obligation or custom, are considered vital values. This aligns with Max Scheler’s perspective, where the tradition of the bullaen to tuo is embedded within a hierarchy of spiritual and virtual values.
