Abstract

Penulisan skripsi ini berangkat dari permasalahan sikap beribadah jemaat Kambuno Lara yang tidak sesuai dengan pandangan John Calvin, yang menurut penulis hal ini merupakan sebuah persoalan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami analisis etis-teologis beribadah menurut pandangan John Calvin terhadap perilaku beribadah jemaat Kambunolara dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Penulis mengambil kesimpulan bahwa perilaku warga jemaat dalam beribadah dinilai tidak etis jika dilihat berdasarkan makna ibadah menurut John Calvin. Menurut John Calvin bahwa ibadah bukanlah sebuah keharusan tetapi sebuah kebutuhan untuk datang mendengarkan Firman Tuhan, selain itu ibadah juga merupakan sebuah undangan dari Tuhan untuk bersekutu dengan-Nya. Kata kunci: Etis-teologis, ibadah, John Calvin, perilaku ABSTRACT The writing of this thesis started from the problem of the worship attitude of the Kambuno Lara congregation which was not in accordance with Calvin's views, which according to the author was a problem. This research aims to understand the theological ethical analysis of worship according to John Calvin's view of the worship behavior of the Kambunolara congregation using qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. The author concludes that the behavior of congregation members in worship is considered unethical if seen based on the meaning of worship according to John Calvin. According to John Calvin, worship is not a necessity but a need to come to hear God's Word. Apart from that, worship is also an invitation from God to commune with Him.
