Abstract

Gereja Protestan Indonesia Luwu Jemaat Filadelfia Langda adalah satu-satunya denominasi GPIL yang ada di Toraja, melihat dari kehidupan GPIL di tengah-tengah mayoritas Gereja Toraja, jemaat ini sejak awal mula berdirinya mendapat perlakuan yang tidak menyenangkan dari sesama juga dari keluarga yang tidak setuju akan tindakan jemaat mendirikan denominasi GPIL di Toraja, hal ini membuat penulis tertarik untuk meneliti lebih jauh lagi terkait dengan sejarah berdirinya GPIL dan cara G[PIL bertahan di Toraja. Penulisan ini menggunakan penelitian historiografi dengan teknik pengumulan data melalui wawancara dan dokumen-dokumen sejarah gereja. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa GPIL Jemaat Filadelfia Langda awalnya adalah anggota Gereja Toraja Jemaat Langda yang mengalami Konflik. Jemaat ini mampu eksis di tengah-tengah ketersendiriannya di Toraja karena dasar iman yang kuat, faktor lingkungan sosial, faktor seorang pemimpin, dan sebuah nilai perjuangan yang membuat persekutuan antar jemaat erat. Kata kunci : Sosio-Historikal, GPIL, Eksistensi, Langda. ABSTRACT The Indonesian Protestant Chruch of Luwu The Filadelfia Langda Congregation is the only GPIl denomination in Toraja, looking at the life of GPIL in the midst of the majority of the Toraja Chruch, this congregation since its inception has been challenged byfellow believers and also by families who do not agree with the congregation’s actions in establishing the GPIL denomination in Toraja, this makes the autor interested in researching further related to the history of the establishment of GPIL in Toraja and how GPIL survives in Toraja. This writing uses histiographic research with data collection techniques through interviews and church history documents. The results of the studi prove that the GPIL Filadelfia Langda Congregation was originally a member of the Toraja Church the Langda Congregation who experienced conflict, this congregation was able to exist in midst of its solitude in Toraja because of a strong foundation of faith, social environment factors, a leader factor, and a value of struggle that makes the fellowship between congregation close.
