Abstract

ABSTRACT This study examines the application of Christian work ethics in the entrepreneurial practices of the Ba’lele congregation, based on Martin Luther’s concept of vocation. Luther emphasized that all forms of work are divine callings when done with faith, responsibility, and love. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that some Christian entrepreneurs in the Ba’lele congregation view their work as a form of worship and service, while others perceive it merely as a means of economic survival. Key challenges include market pressure, moral compromise, and a lack of structured ethical guidance from the church. This study highlights the need to integrate Christian values into entrepreneurship and urges the church to take an active role in fostering ethical work practices among its members. Keywords: Christian Work Ethics, Vocation, Martin Luther, Entrepreneurship, Ba’lele Congregation.
