Abstract
Kata Kunci: Abraham, Hospitalitas, Sintesis, Tarima tau’ ABSTRACT Tarima tau’ is a tradition of the Christian community in Pantoroang that is practiced in the dapo (kitchen) rather than in the living room as is customary. This tradition does not discriminate based on a person’s background, even if they are a stranger. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to produce a synthesis of the values of Abraham's hospitality in Genesis 18:1-15 and the hospitality of tarima tau’, along with its implications for the Christian community in Pantoroang. The synthesis model, as a theoretical framework proposed by Stephen B. Bevans, employs qualitative research methods. The synthesis results of this research indicate that there are four values of hospitality: hospitality is about the attitude of sare-sare (humility), involving a warm welcome and showcasing one’s living conditions; hospitality is openness rooted in equality, meaning an inclusive attitude and creating space for conversation; hospitality is about mutual trust, related to interactions that meet needs; and hospitality through togetherness, familiarity, and family bonds is a blessing, involving honest conversation during shared meals. The results of these two sections deepen the understanding of hospitality. Keywords: Abraham, Hospitality, Synthesis, Tarima tau’.
