Abstract

Koster sering kali dianggap tidak penting oleh warga jemaat, dan hal ini juga yang membuat koster kadang kala tidak bekerja dengan maksimal. Koster adalah pekerjaan yang sangat mulia dalam jemaat. Koster sangat penting. Oleh kerena itu, koster perlu mendapatkan penghormatan dan penghargaan yang layak dari majelis gereja dan warga jemaat. Majelis gereja dan warga jemaat harus memahami pentingnya peneguhan koster sebelum memulai pelayanannya. melalui skripsi ini rumusan masalah yang dikaji adalah bagaimana supaya koster mendapatkan peneguhan sebagai pengerja di Gereja Toraja. Karya ilmiah ini ditulis dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif yang data-datanya diperoleh melalui studi literatur, dokumen gerejawi dan penelitian lapangan melalui observasi dan wawancara. Jumlah narasumber dalam penelitian ini adalah 9 orang. Hasil temuan penelitian ini, diawali dengan analisis teologis fungsi jabatan Suku Lewi dalam kitab Perjanjian Lama yang memuat panggilan, penetapan, tugas, penghasilan dan penahbisan Suku Lewi sebelum memulai pelayanannya. Hasil penelitian lapangan menggambarkan koster sebagai pekerjaan yang mulia dan harus mendapatkan penghormatan dan penghargaan dalam jemaat, melalui peneguhan dan pemberian SK yang didalamnya memuat jaminan hidup koster. Kata Kunci: Gereja Toraja, Koster, Peneguhan, Suku Lewi ABSTRACT The priest is often considered unimportant by the congregation, and this is also what makes the priest sometimes not work optimally. The priest is a very noble job in the congregation. The priest is very important. Therefore, the priest needs to get proper respect and appreciation from the church council and the congregation. The church council and the congregation must understand the importance of the priest's confirmation before starting his ministry. Through this thesis, the formulation of the problem studied is how the priest gets confirmation as a worker in the Toraja Church. This scientific paper was written using a qualitative research method whose data was obtained through literature studies, church documents and field research through observation and interviews. The number of sources in this study was 9 people. The findings of this study began with a theological analysis of the function of the Levite position in Old Testament book which contains the calling, determination, duties, income and ordination of the Levite before starting his ministry. The results of the study describe the priest as a noble job and must receive respect and appreciation in the congregation, through confirmation and the granting of a decree which contains the guarantee of the priest's life.
