Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh maraknya permasalahan Bullying verbal di sekolah yang berdampak negatif terhadap psikologis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam mengatasi bullying verbal di kelas VII D SMPN 1 Mengkendek. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi dengan metode pengumpulan data wawancara dan observasi, untuk memperoleh data yang mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen memiliki potensi yang cukup baik dalam mengatasi bullying verbal, mengajarkan bagaimana saling mengasihi dan menghargai perbedaan, menanamkan nilai kasih dan hormat, dan mengajarkan tentang pengampunan. Maka dari itu guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen telah menerapkan beberapa strategi dalam mengatasi bullying verbal, seperti menasehati, memberikan peringatan dan hukuman yang sifatnya mendidik, dan kolaborasi dengan guru BK untuk memberikan bimbingan dan konseling bagi korban bullying verbal sebagai bentuk penguatan mental korban. Penerapan strategi tersebut cukup baik dalam mengatasi bullying verbal. Meskipun ada kendala yang dialami seperti masih ada siswa yang mengabaikan nasehat dan masih melakukan bullying verbal sekalipun telah di berikan peringatan dan hukuman. Kata kunci: bullying verbal, strategi, guru ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the rampant problem of verbal bullying in schools that has a negative impact on the psychological condition of students. This study aims to analyze the strategies of Christian Religious Education teachers in overcoming verbal bullying in class VII D SMPN 1 Mengkendek. In this study, the author used qualitative research with a phenomenological approach with interview, observation, and documentation methods, to obtain in-depth data. And in analyzing the author reduced the data presentation data, and drew conclusions. The results of the study showed that Christian Religious Education teachers had implemented several strategies in overcoming verbal bullying, by advising, giving warnings and punishments that were educational in nature, providing guidance and counseling, and strengthening the victim’s mentality. The implementation of these strategies was quite good in overcoming verbal bullying. Although there were obstacles that were passed where there were still students who ignored advice and still carried out verbal bullying even though they had been given warnings and punishments Keywords: Verbal bullying, strategy, Christian religious education.
