Abstract

Kepemimpinan Majelis Gereja memainkan peran yang sangat penting dalam mengarahkan dan memastikan tercapainya tujuan pelayanan gereja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana struktur dan dinamika kepemimpinan Majelis Gereja Ebenhaezer Rumbé mempengaruhi efektivitas pelaksanaan program kerja jemaat, dengan fokus pada aspek perencanaan, pelaksanaan, tantangan yang dihadapi, serta evaluasi dampaknya terhadap kebutuhan dan kesejahteraan jemaat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam terhadap anggota Majelis Gereja serta observasi langsung terhadap kegiatan program yang dilaksanakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun kepemimpinan Majelis Gereja memiliki struktur yang jelas, dinamika internal yang terjadi dalam kepemimpinan termasuk komunikasi yang tidak optimal dan kurangnya koordinasi antar pengurus seringkali menghambat kelancaran pelaksanaan program. Selain itu, tantangan utama yang dihadapi adalah kurangnya partisipasi jemaat, yang disebabkan oleh waktu pelaksanaan program yang sering bertabrakan dengan jam kerja jemaat, serta kurangnya informasi yang memadai mengenai program yang akan dilaksanakan. Dampak dari tantangan tersebut adalah rendahnya efektivitas program yang tidak sepenuhnya menjawab kebutuhan serta kesejahteraan jemaat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya peningkatan komunikasi antar pengurus gereja dan jemaat, serta penyesuaian waktu pelaksanaan program untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan jemaat dalam berbagai kegiatan gereja. ABSTRACT The leadership of the Church Council plays a crucial role in guiding and ensuring the achievement of the church’s service objectives. This study aims to analyze how the structure and dynamics of the leadership of the Ebenhaezer Rumbé Church Council influence the effectiveness of the implementation of the congregation's work programs, with a focus on aspects of planning, execution, challenges faced, and evaluation of its impact on the needs and well-being of the congregation. The research method used is a qualitative approach, employing in-depth interviews with members of the Church Council as well as direct observation of the implemented programs. The research findings indicate that although the Church Council's leadership has a clear structure, the internal dynamics within the leadership such as suboptimal communication and a lack of coordination among the administrators often hinder the smooth implementation of the programs. Additionally, the main challenge faced is the lack of congregation participation, caused by program implementation times often overlapping with the work hours of the congregation, as well as insufficient information about the programs to be carried out. The impact of these challenges is the low effectiveness of programs, which do not fully address the needs and well-being of the congregation. This study recommends the need to improve communication between church leaders and the congregation, as well as to adjust program implementation schedules to increase congregation involvement in church activities.
