Abstract

Sungai Sa’dan merupakan sumber air yang dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat Toraja. Akan tetapi kualitas air sungai tercemar akibat dari tindakan manusia yang menyalahgunakan secara tidak bijaksana. Sementara masyarakat Toraja merupakan mayoritas yang beragama, dengan demikian perlu untuk bisa bertanggung jawab dalam mengatasi problem sungai. Oleh karena itu perlu untuk menciptakan aksi kerjasama antarumat beragama dalam menyelamatkan sungai Sa’dan. Penelitian ini hendak berfokus untuk dapat menciptakan dialog praksis pada umat beragama melalui tanggung jawab ekologi yaitu sungai. Teori soteriosentrisme dari Paul Knitter mampu memberikan pemahaman yang lebih dalam tentang pentingnya bagi umat Kristen untuk bisa berdialog dengan umat beragama yang lain dengan berfokus terhadap keselamatan lingkungan dengan tujuan untuk menciptakan kebebasan dalam suatu perdamaian. Kemudian metode yang digunakan dalam peneltian ini yaitu berasal dari pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat fenomenologis. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh oleh penulis bahwa aksi kerjasama dalam menyelamatkan sungai Sa’dan telah terlihat melalui para masyarakat beragama. Sementara pada tingkat lembaga agama, hal ini masih terbatas pada perbincangan yang penting untuk dilakukan, akan tetapi belum ada langkah aksi. Sehingga melalui pemahaman Soteriosentrisme, maka kesenjangan yang terjadi antara pemimpin agama dan umat beragama dapat dihubungkan jika lebih mengutamakan praktik nyata untuk kepentingan bersama, agar memungkinkan untuk membentuk dialog yang inklusif.Kata Kunci: Sungai Sa’dan, Soteriosentrisme, Aksi Kerjasama. ABSTRACT The Sa'dan River is a source of water needed by the Toraja people. However, the quality of river water is polluted due to human actions that misuse it unwisely. Meanwhile, the Torajan people are a religious majority, so they need to be responsible in overcoming river problems. Therefore, it is necessary to create cooperative action between religious communities in saving the Sa'dan river. This research will focus on creating practical dialogue among religious communities through ecological responsibility, namely rivers. Paul Knitter's theory of soteriocentrism is able to provide a deeper understanding of the importance for Christians to be able to dialogue with other religious communities by focusing on environmental safety with the aim of creating freedom in peace. Then the method used in this research comes from a qualitative approach which is phenomenological in nature. The research results obtained by the author show that cooperative action in saving the Sa'dan river has been seen through religious communities. Meanwhile, at the level of religious institutions, this is still limited to discussions that are important to have, but there are no action steps yet. So that through understanding Soteriocentrism, the gap that occurs between religious leaders and religious communities can be connected by prioritizing real practices for the common good, to make it possible to form inclusive dialogue.
