Abstract

Upacara Rambu Solo’ di kalangan masyarakat Toraja saat ini banyak yang telah dinodai dengan Praktek judi. Para pelaku judi menggunakan upacara dalam bingkai budaya Toraja sebagai pintu masuk untuk melakukannya. Kegiatan ma’pasilaga tedong maupun bulangan londong dalam upacara Rambu Solo’ adalah aktivitas yang paling nyata di mana perjudian dilakukan atas nama budaya Toraja. Hal inilah yang melatari lahirnya keputusan Persidangan Sinodal Gereja Toraja untuk menunda pelayanan di upacara tersebut. Atas dasar keputusan itulah maka tulisan ini lahir untuk menganalisis dari perspektif Hukum Gereja implementasinya di Gereja Toraja. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik observasi dan wawancara digunakan sebagai titik tolak pengumpulan data dan analisisnya secara metodologis. Lokus penelitian ini adalah Jemaat Rante Tombang Klasis Sasi. Informan adalah majelis gereja dan keluarga pelaksana upacara rambu solo’. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jemaat, melalui majelis gereja, telah mengimplementasikan penundaan pelayanan dalam upacara yang memberi peluang perjudian. Penundaan ini menimbulkan reaksi pro-kontra dari jemaat. Hal itu terjadi karena sosialisasi pemahaman atas Keputusan tersebut belum dilakukan secara optimal. Hal ini menuntut tanggungjawab dari Majelis Gereja untuk menggumuli penundaan pelayanan dan pendampingan berkelanjutan dari perspektif hukum gereja. Kata kunci : Pelayanan, judi, Penundaan Pelayanan, Hukum Gereja, Budaya Toraja. ABSTRACT The Rambu Solo' ceremony among the Toraja people today has been tainted by gambling practices. Gamblers use ceremonies in the framework of Toraja culture as an entrance to do so. The activities of ma'pasilaga tedong and bulangan londong in the Rambu Solo' ceremony are the most real activities where gambling is carried out in the name of Toraja culture. This is the background for the birth of the decision of the Toraja Church Synodal Conference to postpone the service at the ceremony. On the basis of this decision, this paper was born to analyze from the perspective of Church Law its implementation in the Toraja Church. Qualitative research methods with observation and interview techniques are used as a starting point for data collection and methodological analysis. The locus of this research is the Rante Tombang Klasis Sasi Jamaat. The informants are the church assembly and the family that implements the solo sign ceremony. The results of the study show that the congregation, through the church assembly, has implemented the postponement of service in ceremonies that provide gambling opportunities. This delay caused a pro-con reaction from the congregation. This happened because the socialization of understanding of the Decree had not been carried out optimally. This demands the responsibility of the Church Assembly to wrestle with the delay of ministry and ongoing assistance from the perspective of church law.
