Abstract

RITAYANI SILING. Ecotheological Study of the Impact of Tanamalia Landfill for Padangiring Community ofTana Toraja in the Perspective ofDeep Ecology Ame Naess" (supervised by Tri Oktavia Hartati Silaban and Merlin Brenda Angeline Lumintang). This paper seeks to examine the impact of the presence of TPA Tanamalia in the perspective of the deep ecology ofAme Naess which results in environmental pollution. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Sources of data obtained from informants at the research location. Data collection techniques using literature study techniques, field studies collected through interviews and obseruations. The results of this study indicate that the impact of the existence of TPA Tanamalia, namely, unpleasant odors, more and more flies, polluted clean water, polluted rice fields and rivers have resulted in poor harvests and dead pet fish, even the waste and garbage have entered because the TPA is not managed, there are no special TPA officers and the people do not care and do not understand the environmental crisis that is happening. Deep ecology emphasizes the importance of respecting all ecological communities by treating them well, changing the mindset that does not only see them as something useful for human life but must be protected, guarded and preserved. Keywords: Ecotheology, Deep Ecology, Impact, Tanamalia Landfill
