Abstract

Perjudian dalam konteks saat ini telah menjadi salah satu penyakit sosial dalam masyarakat, yang banyak mempengaruhi pemuda Kristen khususnya pemuda gereja Toraja di jemaat Limbu. Sehingga membutuhkan penanganan khusus untuk digembalakan dengan terlebih dahulu dilakukan penelitian. Sebelum terjun ke lapangan untuk memperoleh data, penulis mengawali penelitian ini dengan melakukan studi kepustakaan (library research) yaitu penulis mengambil teori dari buku-buku yang ada kaitannya dengan topik kajian. Dalam penulisan ini menggunakan metode kualitatif fenomenologi yakni wawancara dan observasi. Berdasarkan penelitian di lapangan permasalahan pemuda saat ini sangat kompleks, penyakit sosial yang terjadi oleh karena perjudian merambat ke setiap daerah di Toraja khususnya di Jemaat Limbu. Peijudian kemudian dianggap sebagai sebuah budaya warisan nenek moyang yang diperjuangkan oleh para penjudi. Dampak dari peijudian tersebut telah banyak ditemui dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat bahkan di dalam jemaat secara khusus. Maraknya peijudian juga menjadi salah satu penyembab penyelewengan budaya dan tatanan moral dalam kehidupan bersama. Untuk dapat mengubah dan memperbaiki tatanan moral dari penyelewengan budaya, maka pendekatan pastoral adalah hal yang penting dalam pelayanan ditengah-tengah jemaat dan terlebih khusus bagi pemuda. Pada akhir tulisan ini, penulis berharap bahwa setiap para pembaca memahami arti pentingnya pendekatan pastoral bagi pemuda sebagai generasi pelanjut bagi bangsa, Negara dan gereja sebab peranan pemuda dalam pertumbuhan jemaat sangat penting. Dalam tulisan ini dijelaskan bahwa majelis gereja baik pendeta, penatua, dan diaken adalah umat pilihan Tuhan melalui jemaat, untuk mengangkat tugas pelayanannya dengan baik, dan tidak mengabaikan pelayanan pendekatan pastoral terhadap pemuda yang terlibat perjudian. Kata kunci: patologi, sosial, judi, pastoral, pendekatan, pemuda, dan budaya. Gambling in the corrent context has become one of the social ailments in society, which affects Christian youth, especially young Toraja churches in Limbu congregation. So that it requires special handling to be beaten by first doing research. Before plunging into the field to obtain file, the authors begins this research by conducting a literature study, namely the authors take theories from books that are related to the topic of study. In this writing uses qualitative methods, namely procedures and observations. Based on research in the field of youth problems at this time is very complex, social diseases that occur because gambling spread to every region in Toraja, especially in the Limbu congregation. Gambling is then considered a culture of ancestral heritage championed by gamblers. The impact of gambling has been widely found in community life even in congregations specifically. The rise of gambling is also one of the causes of cultural misconduct and moral order in shared life. To be able to change and improve the moral order of cultural misuse, the pastoral approach is important in the Service of the congregation and especially for the youth. At the end of this paper, the authors hope that every reader understands the importance of a pastoral approach for youth as the next generation of nation, State and church because the role of youth in the growth of the church is very important. In this paper it is explained that the church assemblies of both pastors, elders, and deacons are God’s chosen people through the church, to raise their ministry duties well, and not to neglect the ministry of a pastoral approach to youth involved in gambling.
