Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Pendekatan Personal Guru Sekolah Minggu dalam Menangani Kebiasaan Negatif Anak Sekolah Minggu di Jemaat Rantepasilo. Pendekatan personal dipandang penting karena memperhatikan kebutuhan individu setiap anak, sehingga pendekatan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan solusi yang efektif dan berkelanjutan dalam mendidik anak-anak secara rohani dan moral. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi anak sekolah minggu, di Jemaat Rantepasilo. Analisis data dilakukan dengan langkah-langkah pengumpulan, reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan personal guru sekolah minggu, yang melibatkan komunikasi empatik, pengamatan individual, serta pemberian motivasi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak, secara signifikan dapat mengurangi kebiasaan negatif seperti kurangnya perhatian selama kegiatan, perilaku kurang disiplin, dan konflik antar teman. Selain itu, pendekatan ini juga mendorong peningkatan kedisiplinan, kesadaran tanggung jawab, dan penguatan hubungan antara guru, anak, dan orang tua. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendekatan personal merupakan strategi yang efektif dalam menangani kebiasaan negatif anak sekolah minggu di Jemaat Rantepasilo. ABSTRACT The problem in this research is how the Sunday School Teacher's Personal Approach is in Handling the Negative Habits of Sunday School Children in the Rantepasilo Congregation. This research aims to find out how the personal approach taken by Sunday school teachers can help deal with the negative habits of Sunday school children in the Rantepasilo congregation. A personal approach is considered important because it takes into account the individual needs of each child, so this method is expected to provide an effective and sustainable solution in educating children spiritually and morally. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation studies of Sunday school teachers, children, and parents at the Rantepasilo congregation. Data analysis was carried out using the steps of collection, reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the personal approach of Sunday school teachers, which involves empathetic communication, individual observation, and providing motivation according to children's needs, can significantly reduce negative habits such as lack of attention during activities, lack of discipline, and conflict between friends. Apart from that, this approach also encourages increased discipline, awareness of responsibility, and strengthening relationships between teachers, children and parents. This research concludes that a personal approach is an effective strategy in dealing with the negative habits of Sunday school children in the Rantepasilo congregation.
