Abstract

ABSTRAK Menjalankan misi Pekabaran Injil bukan hal yang mudah, ada begitu banyak suka dan duka yang harus dilalui. Demikian, misi Pekebaran Injil Gereja Toraja di Kalimantan juga memiliki suka dan duka yang harus di hadapi. Bagaimana gereja Toraja dapat masuk dan berkembang di daerah Kalimantan serta bagaimana gereja Toraja dapat memberi dampak positif dari kehadiranya di tengah-tengah suku dan budaya yang berbeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian sejarah atau historigrafi. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjawab rumusan masalah dari penulis dan juga orang-orang jung ingin lebih jauh mengetahui sejarah pertumbuhan gereja Toraja di Kalimantan. Misi Pekabaran Injil di Kalimantan sekalipun penuh tantangan, namun berhasil menjawab kerinduan orang-orang Toraja yang ada di Kalimantan agar Gereja Toraja dapat hadir dan melayani mereka. Kata Kunci: Misi, Pekabaran Injil, Gereja, Kalimantan, Toraja ABSTRACT Carrying out the mission of preaching the Gospel is not an easy thing, there are so many ups and downs to go through. Thus, the mission of spreading the Gospel of the Toraja Church in Kalimantan also has joys and sorrows the must be faced. How can the Toraja church enter and develop in the Kalimantan area and how can the Toraja church have a positive impact from its presence in the midst of different tribes and culture. This study uses a qualitative approach with historical or historiographic research methods. This research is wxpected to be able to answer the problem formulation of the author and also the junks who want to know more about history of the growth of the Toraja church in Kalimantan. Even though the Mission of Evangelism in Kalimantan was full of challenges, it succeded in answering the longing of the Toraja people in Kalimantan for the Toraja Church to be present and serve them.
