Abstract

ABSTRAK Deviwanti Santi Pakiding. 2020196668,” Konsep Teologis Dogmatis Tentang Hakikat Gereja Dalam Perspektif John Calvin Dan Implikasinya Bagi Kehidupan Gereja Toraja Jemaat Lemo”. (Dibimbing oleh Samuel Tokam, M,Th dan Darius M.Th). Gereja hadir ke tengah-tengah dunia dan memiliki tugas di dalam dunia ini dengan menyatakan tanda-tanda Kerajaan Allah seperti keadilan, keutuhan ciptaan dan perdamaian. Gereja terlibat langsung dalam kehidupan masyarakat dan bertanggung jawab terhadap nasib masyarakat, bangsa dan negara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implikasi teologis dogmatis hakikat gereja dalam perspektif John Calvin terhadap kehidupan Gereja Toraja Jemaat Lemo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data primer diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan Pendeta, penatua, pengurus OIG PPGT dan anggota jemaat. Selain itu, data sekunder diperoleh melalui sumber-sumber lain seperti buku dan jurnal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Gereja Toraja Jemaat Lemo telah memahami gereja sebagai satu kesatuan tubuh Kristus, telah memahami arti gereja yang sesungguhnya, telah menghidupi konsep satu kesatuan tubuh Kristus, telah menjalani persekutuan sebagai satu tubuh Kristus dan telah menjalankan tugasnya sebagai gereja yang menjangkau keluar. The Church is present in the midst of the world and has a task in this world by proclaiming the signs of the Kingdom of God such as justice, the integrity of creation, and peace. This research aims describe the dogmatic geological implication of the nature of the church from John Calvin’s perspective on the life of the Toraja church, the Lemo Congregation. The research method used qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Primary data wa obtained through interviews with Pastors, Elders, OIG PPGT administators and congregation members. Apart from that, secondary data is obtained through other sources such as books and journals.The result of the research show that the Toraja Church of the Lemo Congregation has understood the church as one united body of Christ, has understood the true meaning of the church, has lived the concept of one united body of Christ, has experienced fellowship as one body of Christ and has carried out its duties as a church that reaches out.
