Abstract

ABSTRAK Ines Astrid: 2020207906, Kajian Teologis Befriending Terhadap Pelayanan Pastoral Remaja di Era Digital dan Implementasinya di Gereja Protestan Indonesia Donggala (GPID) Sion Sopu (Dibimbing oleh Dr. Ismail Banne Ringgi’ , M. Th. dan Dr. James Anderson Lola, M. Th). Penelitian ini mengkaji secara teologis konsep befriending dalam pelayanan pastoral remaja di era digital dan bagaimana implementasinya di Gereja Protestan Indonesia Donggala (GPID) Sion Sopu. Menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan tujuan untuk menguraikan dan menganalisis secara teologis konsep befriending terhadap pelayanan pastoral remaja di era digital. Studi ini mengidentifikasi berbagai permasalahan yang dialami oleh remaja di era digital saat ini. Remaja sering menggunakan media sosial secara berlebihan sehingga mengakibatkan kurangnya bersosialisasi dengan orang lain. Dalam masa remaja begitu banyak tantangan dan juga banyak perubahan yang harus dihadapi mulai dari perubahan fisik, biologis, psikologis, dan juga sosial. Perubahan salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan gadget dan media sosial yang berlebihan, oleh karena itu perlu pendampingan pastoral kepada remaja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep befriending memiliki landasan teologis yang kuat dalam ajaran kasih dan kepedulian Kristen, yang sangat relevan dalam konteks digital saat ini. Implementasi praktis dari konsep ini di Gereja Protestan Indonesia Donggala (GPID) Sion Sopu melibatkan penggunaan media sosial dan platform digital untuk memfasilitasi komunikasi dan pembinaan spiritual antara pemimpin gereja dan remaja. Pendekatan ini tidak hanya memungkinkan pelayanan yang lebih personal dan terintegrasi, tetapi juga memperkuat ikatan komunitas dalam gereja, khususnya di kalangan remaja yang cenderung aktif secara digital. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pemahaman teologis tentang befriending tidak hanya relevan tetapi juga mendalam dalam mendukung pertumbuhan rohani dan emosional remaja di era digital, sambil memperkuat peran gereja sebagai tempat komunitas yang berempati dan mendukung. This research examines theologically the concept of befriending in youth pastoral care in the digital era and how it is implemented at the Donggala Indonesian Protestant Church (GPID) Sion Sopu. Using descriptive qualitative methods, with the aim of explaining and analyzing theologically the concept of befriending in youth pastoral care in the digital era. This study identifies various problems experienced by teenagers in today's digital era. Teenagers often use social media excessively, resulting in a lack of socializing with other people. During adolescence, there are many challenges and many changes that must be faced, starting from physical, biological, psychological and social changes. One of the changes is influenced by excessive use of gadgets and social media, therefore pastoralcare is needed for teenagers. The research results show that the concept of befriending has a strong theological foundation in Christian teachings of love and care, which is very relevant in today's digital context. The practical implementation of this concept at the Donggala Indonesian Protestant Church (GPID) Sion Sopu involves the use of social media and digital platforms to facilitate communication and spiritual formation between church leaders and youth. This approach not only allows for more personalized and integrated services, but also strengthens community ties within the church, especially among teenagers who tend to be digitally active. This research concludes that a theological understanding of befriending is not only relevant but also profound in supporting the spiritual and emotional growth of teenagers in the digital era, while strengthening the role of the church as a place of empathetic and supportive community.
