Abstract
Disabilitas adalah orang-orang yang mempunyai keterbatasan fisik dan mental. Masalah dalam penelitian ini ialah dilatarbelakangi oleh Gereja yang tidak melakukan pelayanan kepada disabilitas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan tentang faktor yang mempengaruhi pelayanan disabilitas tidak dilakukan terhadap penyandang disabilitas di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Sibunuan. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi kepustakaan, wawancara dan observasi. Teknik analis data yang digunakan ialah reduksi data, display data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor penyebab tidak dilakukannya pelayanan kepada disabilitas yaitu: Gereja memahami disabilitas belum sepenuhnya menjadi tugas dan tanggungjawab Gereja melainkan tugas dan tanggungjawab keluarga, Gereja belum memilki bahan ajar atau buku-buku yang berkaitan dengan pelayanan disabilitas, dan Gereja belum menyediakan orang-orang yang berpotensi dalam bidang konseling kepada penyandang disabilitas. Disabled people are people who have physical and mental limitations. The problem with this research is that it is motivated by the Church not providing Services to people with disabilities. The purpose ofthis research is to describe thefactors that influence disability Services not being providedfor people with disabilities at the Sibunuan Toraja Congregation Church. This research uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through literature study, interviews and observation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The results of this research show that thefactors causing not providing Services to people with disabilities are: the Church understands that disability is not fully the duty and responsibility of the Church but rather the task and responsibility of the faniily, the Church does not yet have teaching niaterials or books related to disability Services, and the Church does not yet provide people - people who have potential in the field of counseling for people ivith disabilities.
