Abstract
ABSTRAK Skripsi ini berjudul “ Berkhotbah: Tinjauan Teologis Mengenai Keterampilan Berkhotbah Penatua Dan Diaken Serta Implikasinya Terhadap Respons Anggota Jemaat Di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Batukara”. Khotbah /pemberitaan firman merupakan sentral dalam ibadah Gereja Toraja, namun dalam praktiknya terkadang khotbah disampaikan ala kadarnya saja yang berdampak pada respons anggota jemaat. Hal ini dipicu oleh kurangnya pemahaman keterampilan berkhotbah para pengkhotbah ( penatua dan diaken ) terutama dalam lingkup jemaat pedesaan. Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengetahuan dan keterampilan berkhotbah penatua dan diaken serta respons anggota jemaat. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode kualitatif. Data diperoleh langsung dari hasil wawancara di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Batukara Klasis Rano dan data sekunder diperoleh melalui perpustakaan dan artikel-artikel terkait dengan topik. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan ialah sebagian besar penatua dan diaken sudah memahami seperti apa khotbah yang di inginkan oleh anggota jemaat namun belum diterapkan dalam praktik penyampainya. Merespons khotbah yang disampaikan sebagian besar anggota jemaat sebagai responden masih belum merasa puas secara rohani atau tersentuh oleh khotbah penatua dan diaken. Penatua dan diaken adalah orang-orang yang dipanggil oleh Allah untuk memberitakan Injil, sebagai pelaku dan pemberita Firman. Oleh karena itu, perluh untuk terus memperlengkapi diri baik secara teori maupun praktik agar kebenaran yang disampaikan dapat membuat jiwa-jiwa semakin taat dan mencerminkan kasih Kristus dalam kehidupan sehari-hari Kata kunci: Diaken, Keterampilan, Khotbah, Penatua, Respons. ABSTRACK This thesis is entitled “ Preaching: A Theological Review Regarding the Preaching Skills os Elders and Deacons and Their Implications for the Responses of Congregation Members in the Batukara Congregation Toraja Church”. Sermoning/preaching the words is central in the Toraja Church’s Worship, but in practice sometimes sermons are delivered at a low level which has an impact on the response of congregation members. This is triggered by a lack of understanding of the preaching skills of preachers ( elders and deacons), especially in rural congregations. This thesis aims to determine the extent of knowledge and preaching skills of elders and deacons as well as the response of congregation members. The method used is a qualitative method. Data was obtained directly from interviews at the Batukara Klasis Rano Toraja Conregation Church and secondary data was obtained through the library and articles related to the topic. The results of the research obtained were that the majority of elders and deacons already understood what kind of sermon congregation members wanted but had not implemented it in their practice of delivering it. Responding to the sermon delivered, most of the congregation members as repondents still did not feel spriritually satisfied or touched by the sermons of the elders and deacons. Elderts and deacons are people called by God to preach the Gospel, as doers and preachers of the word. Therefore, it is necesarry to continue to equip ourselves both theoretically and practically so that the truth conveyed can make souls more obedient and reflect the love of Chirist in their daily lives.
