Abstract

ABSTRAK Jeni Sembo di tahun 2024 menyusun skripsi dengan judul: “Kajian Teologis Tentang Berkat Dalam Ritual Mepare Lapu’ Dan Imlikasinya Bagi Masyarakat Lembang Pagkung Batu” Jurusan Teologi Kristen, Fakulitas Teologi dan Sosiologi Kristen. Institut Agama Kristen Negeri Toraja. Skripsi ini ditulis karena penulis tertarik mengkaji lebih mendalam bagaimana pemahaman berkat dalam ritual mepare lapu’ secara teologis, karena didalamnya ada kecenderungan masarakat menilai bahwa ritual ini selayaknya dilakukan oleh orang-orang yang mempunyai kepercayaan leluhur (aluk todolo) tetapi yang terjadi dalam masarakat secara khusus di Lembang Pangkung Batu, sudah dilakukan oleh orang-orang yang beragama kristen. Tetapi dalam penelitian ini, penulis lebih memfokuskan penelitian pada pemahan berkat bagi masyarakat Lembang Pangkung Batu Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk melakukan kajian teologis berkat dalam ritual mepare lapu’ dan imlikasinya bagi masyarakat Lembang Pangkung Batu. Dalam penelitian ini penulis mengunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data, melalui studi pusataka, observasi dan wawancara. Diakhir tulisan ini, penulis penyimpulkan bahwa sebagian masyarakat percaya bahwa berkat bisa kita dapatkan dari leluhur atau orang yang telah meninggal ketika melakukan ritual mepare lapu’. yang seharusnya tidak dilakukan oleh orang Kristen. Karena sebagai orang yang percaya kepada Tuhan, maka harus percaya bahwa hanya Tuhanlah sumber berkat. Kata kunci : Berkat, Mepare Lapu’, Ritual. ABSTRACT Jeni Sembo in 2024 wrote a thesis with the title: "Theological Study of Blessings in the Mepare Lapu Ritual and Its Implications for the Lembang Pagkung Batu Community" Department of Christian Theology, Faculty of Christian Theology and Sociology. Toraja State Institute of Christian Religion. This thesis was written because the author was interested in studying in more depth how to understand the blessing in the mepare lapu' ritual theologically, because in it there is a tendency among the community to judge that this ritual should be carried out by people who have ancestral beliefs (aluk todolo) but what happens in the community is specifically in Lembang Pangkung Batu, it has been carried out by people who are Christians. However, in this research, the author focuses more on understanding blessings for the people of Lembang Pangkung Batu The aim of this research is to conduct a theological study of blessings in the mepare lapu' ritual and its implications for the Lembang Pangkung Batu community. In this research the author used qualitative research methods with data collection techniques, through research studies, observations and interviews. At the end of this article, the author concludes that some people believe that we can get blessings from ancestors or people who have died when performing the mepare lapu' ritual. which Christians should not do. Because as a person who believes in God, you must believe that only God is the source of blessings.
