Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya stigma yang muncul dalam masyarakat di Lembang Rumandan mengenai ibu yang disangka lesbi. Munculnya stigma tersebut berdampak pada perkembangan sosial seorang remaja. Perubahan terjadi pada aspek relasi, penentuan identitas, kematangan emosional serta pengaruh teman sebaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif di mana penulis mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara dan observasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah menganalisis dampak stigma ibu yang lesbi terhadap perkembangan sosial remaja di Lembang Rumandan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka penulis menyimpulkan bahwa munculnya stigma ibu yang disangka sebagai pasangan lesbi berdampak pada perkembangan sosial remaja. Remaja tersebut mengalami perubahan, yakni membatasi diri untuk menjalin relasi dengan ibunya dan orang-orang di sekitarnya. Bahkan dirinya menjadi seorang pendiam dan lebih tertutup. Remaja tersebut memandang dirinya memiliki banyak kekurangan. Munculnya perasaan malu dan minder dalam dirinya, membuatnya menarik diri dari relasi dengan teman sebayanya. Oleh karena itu, gereja perlu melakukan pendampingan atau konseling terhadap remaja tersebut agar remaja tersebut merasa diterima oleh lingkungan sosial di sekitarnya. This research is motivated by the stigma that arises in the community in Lembang Rumandan regarding mothers who are suspected of being lesbian. The emergence of this stigma has an impact on the social development of a teenager. Changes occur in aspects of relationships, identity determination, emotional maturity and peer influence. This research uses a qualitative method in which the author collects data through interviews and observations. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of lesbian mother stigma on the social development of adolescents in Lembang Rumandan. Based on the results of the research, the author concludes that the emergence of the stigma of mothers who are mistaken for lesbian couples has an impact on the social development of adolescents. The teenager experienced changes, namely limiting himself to establish relationships with his mother and the people around him. Even he became a quiet and more closed person. The teenager sees herself as having many shortcomings. The emergence of feelings of shame and inferiority in him, made him withdraw from relationships with his peers. Therefore, the church needs to provide assistance or counseling to the teenager so that the teenager feels accepted by the social environment around him.
