Abstract

ABSTRAK Skripsi ini ditulis oleh Rendi Noval Burirang, pada tahun 2024 dengan judul” Analisis Teologis Tentang Mitos Kehadiran Burung Seriti Sebagai Pembawa Kematian Dengan Menggunakan Teori Mircea Eliade”. Dibawah bimbingan Bapak Dr. Abraham S. Tanggulungan, M. Si dan Bapak Dr. Frans Paillin Rumbi, M.Th Penelitian ini membahas mengenai analisis teologis tentang mitos kehadiran burung seriti sebagai pembawa kematian dengan menggunakan teori Mircea Eliade. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis secara Teologis tentang mitos kahadiran burung Seriti sebagai pembawa kematian dengan menggunaan Teori Mircea Eliade. Metode penelitian yang penulis gunakan yakni penelitian kualitatif deskriptif . Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penelitian ini menghasilkan beberapa temuan. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif berfokus untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis fenomena, peritiwa, aktivitas sosial, sikap, keyakinan, persepsi, pemikiran masyarakat secara individu maupun kelompok. Teori mitos Mircea Eliade bahwa kisah penciptaan yang menjelaskan asal-usul kenyataan dan menjadi teladan bagi perilaku manusia. Mitos Mircea membahas mengenai asal-usul kosmos dan unsur tertentu, serta memungkinkan manusia mengulang peristiwa masa lampau melalui ritual. Pandangan teologis mengenai burung Seriti, bahwa tidak dapat dibenarkan, sebab perihal hidup mati manusia sepenuhnya merupakan rahasia Allah sepenuhnya, kehadiran Burung Seriti hanyalah bersifat kebetulan dan juga sebuah misteri yang tidak bisa diungkapkan dan dijelaskan dengan nalar, misteri hanya Tuhan yang tahu kebenarannya.ABSTRACT This thesis was written by Rendi Noval Burirang, in 2024 with the title “Theological Analysis of the Myth of the Presence of the Seriti Bird as a Bringer of Death. Theological Analysis of the Myth of the Presence of the Seriti Bird as the Bearer of Death Using Mircea Eliade's Theory”. Under the guidance of Dr. Abraham S. Tanggulungan, M. Si and Dr. Frans Paillin Rumbi, M.Th. The study discusses the theological analysis of the myth of the presence of birds of seriti as carrier of death using Mircea Eliade's theory. The research method the author uses is qualitative descriptive research. Based on the results of the research, this study produces some findings. Qualitative descriptive research focuses on describing and analyzing phenomena, circumstances, social activity, attitudes, beliefs, perceptions, and thinking of individuals and groups. Mircea Eliade's mythology is that the story of creation explains the origins of reality and serves as a model for human behavior. Mircea's theory discusses the origin of the cosmos and certain elements, as well as enabling humans to repeat past events through rituals. The theological view of the bird is that it is unjustifiable, because the matter of man's life and death is entirely a secret of God, the presence of the Bird is only a coincidence and also a mystery that can not be revealed and explained intelligently, a mystery only God knows the truth.
