Abstract

ABSTRAK Tesis ini berjudul Analisis Dogmatis Pemahaman Pendeta terhadap Langit Baru dan Bumi Baru dalam Pengakuan Gereja Toraja. Berdasarkan latar belakang masalah, penulis menemukan pemahaman mengenai langit dan bumi baru belum maksimal dipahami oleh para pendeta dan juga warga jemaat sehingga tidak ada keseragaman mengenai pemahaman langit dan bumi baru. Penulisan ini memuat beberapa rumusan masalah, yaitu: Apa makna Langit dan Bumi Baru dalam Pengakuan Gereja Toraja Bab VIII dan mengapa Langit dan Bumi Baru dalam Pengakuan Gereja menjadi salah satu kepastian bagi orang percaya dalam Pengakuan Gereja Toraja Bab VIII? Bagaimana pemahaman Pendeta di Klasis Gandangbatu mengenai Langit dan Bumi Baru dalam Pengakuan Gereja Toraja? Berdasarkan rumusan masalah, tujuan penulisan ini ialah untuk mengetahui makna dari langit dan bumi baru, untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai langit dan bumi baru serta untuk mengetahui pemahaman para pendeta mengenai langit dan bumi baru untuk menghadirkan keseragaman pemahaman di lingkungan Gereja Toraja. Penulisan ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan melakukan studi kepustakaan (Library research), yaitu menelusuri konsep-konsep dengan memanfaatkan jurnal, artikel, dan buku-buku yang berhubungan dengan kajian yang penulis paparkan dalam tulisan ini. Penelitian ini dilengkapi dengan informan yang dinilai penulis akan memberikan pandangannya sesuai dengan yang penulis teliti. Informan yang dimaksud adalah Pendeta Gereja Toraja yang melayani di Klasis Gandangbatu. Teknik pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik sampel snowball, yaitu pemilihan sampel yang diperoleh melalui proses bergulir dari satu informan ke informan yang lain. Langit dan bumi baru adalah adalah suasana dan tempat yang menjadi tujuan dan tempat manusia setelah mati. Langit dan bumi baru dalam hal ini adalah tempat setelah zaman akhir. Manusia mati seutuhnya tidak memisahkan antara tubuh dan jiwa serta roh melainkan satu kesatuan setelah mati utuh bersama-sama dengan Allah dalam surga. Langit dan bumi baru adalah Yerusalem baru yang menjadi tempat manusia setelah penghakiman. Sedangkan surga adalah tempat manusia berada setelah kematian dan manusia ada bersama-sama dengan Allah. Kata Kunci : manusia, kematian, surga, langit baru, bumi baru. ABSTRACK Dogmatic analysis of the priest's understanding of the new heavens and new earth in the Confession of the Toraja Church. Based on the background, the writer finds that in understanding the new heavens and the new earth has not been maximally understood by the priests and also the members of the congregation so that there is no uniformity regarding the understanding of the new heaven and earth. This writing contains several formulations of the problem, namely what is the meaning of the New Heaven and Earth in the Toraja Church Confession Chapter VIII and why is the New Heaven and Earth in the Church Confession one of the certainty for believers in the Toraja Church Confession Chapter VIII? And how is the understanding of the Pastor at the Gandangbatu Class regarding the New Heaven and Earth in the Confession of the Toraja Church?. Based on the formulation of the problem, the purpose of this paper is to find out the meaning of the new heaven and earth, to describe the new heaven and earth and to find out the understanding of the priests about the new heaven and earth to bring uniformity of understanding within the Toraja Church. This writing uses qualitative research by conducting library research, namely exploring concepts by utilizing journals, articles, and books related to the study that the author will describe in this paper. This research will be equipped with informants who are considered by the author to provide their views in accordance with what the author will examine. The informant in question is the Toraja Church Priest who serves at Klasis Gandangbatu. The sample selection technique uses the snowball sample technique, namely the selection of samples obtained through a rolling process from one informant to another. The new heavens and the new earth are the atmosphere and the place that is the goal and place of humans after death. The new heaven and earth in this case is the place after the end times. Man who dies completely does not separate body and soul and spirit, but is a single entity after death as a whole together with God in heaven. The new heavens and the new earth are the new Jerusalem which will be the place of man after judgment, while heaven is the place where man will be after death and man will be with God. Key word:
