Abstract
ABSTRAK Abstrak: Saya sebagai penulis skripsi tersebut, memiliki ketertarikan dalam “Membangun teologi misi dengan mengkaji makna ma’tinggoro tedong di Lembang Gasing dengan metode sintesis”. Karena dalam penulisan skripsi tersebut, memperlihatkan bahwa dalam upacara rambu solo’ terutama dalam ma’tinggoro tedong. Ma’tinggoro tedong, merupakan suatu tradisi yang unik bagi masyarakat toraja. Karena dalam masyarakat toraja ma’tinggoro tedong itu sebagai tanda kasih sayang kepada orang yang meninggal, sebagai bekal meuju ke puya dan juga memperlihatkan sebuah identitas mereka bahwa mereka mampu melaksanakan upacara tersebut. Dengan demikian makna teologi misi tersebut bisa menerima dan bisa menolak. Karena dari dalam misi, kita harus menerapkan sebuah kasih sayang tetapi kita tidak lagi mempercayai bahwa tedonglah yang akan menyelamatkan kita. Namun yang kita percayai, yang akan menyelamatkan kita ialah Yesus Kristus Sang Juruselamat kita. Dari ma’tinggoro tedong ini, bisa memotivasi kita bahwa ini sebuah penghormatan dan penghargaan kita kepada keluarga yang meninggal. Oleh karena itu, model sintesis ini merupakan Injil dan budaya yang bisa berjalan paralel dan bisa dikombinasikan dengan cara yang sesuai dengan kebutuhannya. Kata Kunci: Teologi Misi, makna ma’tinggoro tedong, metode sintesis. ABSTRACT Abstract: As the author of this thesis, I have an interest in "Building a theology of mission by studying the meaning of ma'tinggoro tedong in Lembang Gasing using the synthesis method". Because in writing this thesis, it shows that in the Rambu Solo' ceremony, especially in Ma'tinggoro Tedong. Ma'tinggoro tedong, is a unique tradition for the Toraja people. Because in Toraja society, ma'tinggoro tedong is a sign of affection for the deceased, as a provision for going to the puya and also shows their identity that they are able to carry out the ceremony. In this way, the meaning of mission theology can be accepted or rejected. Because from within the mission, we must apply compassion but we no longer believe that tedong is the one who will save us. But what we believe, the one who will save us is Jesus Christ our Savior. From this ma'tinggoro tedong, it can motivate us that this is our respect and appreciation for the families of the deceased. Therefore, this synthesis model is that the Bible and culture can run parallel and can be combined in a way that suits their needs.
