Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk menganalisis bagaimana konsep pemahaman sosio-teologis tentang Untandan Allo melo dan implikasinya bagi kehidupan sosial warga gereja Toraja Jemaat Elim Ratte. Jenis penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Subjek penelitian berada di Gereja Toraja Jemaat Elim Ratte , dengan informan penelitian yang terdiri dari tokoh adat, anggota jemaat dan majelis gereja Jemaat Elim Ratte. Jenis data yang yang di kumpulkan terdiri dari data primer dan sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi kajian pustaka, observasi , dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi analisis domain, taksonomi , kompensial, dan tema budaya. Dari hasil wawancara dan pengamatan serta analisis data yang penulis lakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa Untanda Allo Melo adalah tradisi masyarakat jemaat Elim Ratte yang telah berlangsung sejak masa Aluk Todolo hingga era Kristen. Tradisi ini melibatkan pemilihan hari baik untuk berbagai kegiatan seperti mendirikan rumah, menanam, dan pernikahan, dengan keyakinan bahwa pemilihan hari yang tepat akan mendatangkan berkat dan kesuksesan. Meskipun telah beralih ke agama Kristen, banyak anggota jemaat masih memegang teguh tradisi ini, meski gereja mengajarkan bahwa semua hari adalah baik dalam pandangan Tuhan. Gereja dan masyarakat adat berupaya mencapai kesepahaman melalui dialog, menekankan bahwa setiap hari diberkati oleh Tuhan. Refleksi teologis menunjukkan transformasi budaya, di mana iman kepada Yesus Kristus diintegrasikan ke dalam konteks budaya lokal. Model antropologis menurut Bevans menekankan pentingnya menghormati budaya lokal dalam menyampaikan pesan Injil, sehingga gereja di Elim Ratte menghormati nilai-nilai tradisional sambil mengajarkan kedaulatan Tuhan atas segala waktu dan musim. Kata Kunci : Untanda, Allo Melo, Kehidupan, sosial, tranformasi. ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the socio-theological understanding of the concept of Untanda Allo Melo and its implications for the social life of the Toraja Church congregation Elim Ratte. This research uses a qualitative research method with an ethnographic approach. The subjects of the study are in the Toraja Church congregation Elim Ratte, with research informants consisting of traditional leaders, congregation members, and the church council of the Elim Ratte congregation. The types of data collected consist of primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques include literature review, observation, and interviews. The data analysis techniques used include domain analysis, taxonomy, componential, and cultural theme analysis. From the interviews, observations, and data analysis conducted, it can be concluded that Untanda Allo Melo is a tradition of the Elim Ratte congregation that has been carried out since the Aluk Todolo era until the Christian era. This tradition involves selecting auspicious days for various activities such as building houses, planting, and marriage, with the belief that choosing the right day will bring blessings and success. Although they have converted to Christianity, many congregation members still hold firmly to this tradition, even though the church teaches that all days are good in the eyes of God. The church and traditional community strive to reach an understanding through dialogue, emphasizing that every day is blessed by God. Theological reflection shows cultural transformation, where faith in Jesus Christ is integrated into the local cultural context. Bevans' anthropological model emphasizes the importance of respecting local culture in conveying the Gospel message, so the church in Elim Ratte respects traditional values while teaching God's sovereignty over all time and seasons.
