Abstract

ABSTRAK Singgi tedong merupakan sanjungan, doa dan harapan rumpun keluarga. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk memahami tentang makna mengenai Singgi Tedong dalam upacara Rambu Solo’ di kalangan orang Kristen di Lempo. Metode yang di gunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan memakai 6 informan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah makna yang terkandung dalam Singgi Tedong yaitu kerbau yang di Singgi’ akan menjadi bekal si mati menuju ke puya bahkan di percaya setelah tedong di Singgi’ anak cucu si mati akan mendapat berkat sehingga terungkap bahwa masyarakat Lempo suda Kristen namun ritus yang di lakukan tidak berpusat kepada Kristus, yang di mana Kristuslah sumber hidup dan berkat yang tentunya sudah di pahami melalui iman Kristen. Kata Kunci : Rambu Solo’, Singgi Tedong, Iman Kristen ABSTRACK Singgi Tedong is praise, prayer and hope for the family. The aim of this research is to understand the meaning og Singgi’ Tedong in the Rambu Solo’ ceremony among christians in Lempo. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method using 6 informants. The results of this research are the meaning contained in the Singgi Tedong, namely that the buffalo that is Singgi’ will be a provision for the dead to go to the puya. It is even believed that after the tedong is on the Singgi’, the dead’s children and grandchildren will receive a blessing, so it is revealed that the Lempo community is already Christian, but the rites that are carried out not centered on Christ, where Christ is the source of live and blessings which of course is understood through the Christian faith.
