Abstract

ABSTRAK Konflik banyak terjadi dalam gereja. Seperti pada umumnya konflik juga terjadi di Kayuosing yang membuat gereja terpecah. Konflik itu memberi dampak yang positf dan dampak yang negatif. Oleh sebab itu, dalam tulisan ini telah diuraikan secara teologis dan sosiologis konflik serta dampaknya bagi pertumbuhan gereja. Berdasarkan penelitian, konflik terjadi dalam gereja karena oknum-oknum yang beronflik berusaha mempertahankan egonya masing-masing. Konflik yang terjadi tersebut berujung pada perpecahan yang awalnya hanya ada satu gereja dank arena konflik itu sehingga sebagian oknum yang berkonflik membangun gereja sendiri. Konflik itu membawa dampak yang positif dan negatif yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan gereja. Dalam menghadapi konflik, maka tentu ada hal yang penting untuk dilakukan yakni manajemen konflik. Untuk menyelesaikan serta meminimalisir terjadinya konflik, maka pengelolan konflik dalam gereja sangat penting. Adapun langkah-langkah pengelolaan konflik itu telah dijelaskan pada bagian khusus dalam tulisan. Kata kunci: teologis, sosiologis, konflik, perpecahan, pertumbuhan. ABSTRACT Conflicts often occur in the church. As in general, conflict also occurred in Kayuosing which divided the church. Conflict has both positive and negative impacts. Therefore, in this article the theological and sociological explanation of the conflict and its impact on church growth has been described. Based on research, conflict occurs in the church because the individuals in conflict try to maintain their respective egos. The conflict that occurred resulted in a split where initially there was only one church and because of this conflict, some of the individuals in conflict built their own churches. This conflict has both positive and negative impacts that affect church growth. In dealing with conflict, of course there is something important to do, namely conflict management. To resolve and minimize the occurrence of conflict, conflict management in the church is very important. The steps for managing conflict have been explained in a special section in the article.
