Abstract
Abstrak DONNY GILBERT, NIRM 2020175515, judul skripsi “Makna Salib dan Relevansinya Terhadap Spiritualitas Pemuda dalam Pelayanan Persekutuan Pemuda Gereja Toraja Jemaat Tello Batua Klasis Makassar Tengah”. Di bawah bimbingan Erwin Bunga Sapan, M.Pd. dan Pebrianty, S.KM.,M.Kes. Simbol salib menjadi suatu peristiwa terbesar bagi umat kristiani, dimana simbol tersebut menjadi suatu tanda keselamatan yang diberikan oleh Tuhan Yesus. Melalui hal tersebut pemaknaan simbol salib menjadi suatu alat yang dapat mendorong spiritualitas pelayanan secara khusus bagi PPGT. Namun realitanya pemaknaan salib dan relevansinya terhadap spiritualitas pelayanan PPGT belum tercapai, sehingga spiritualitas pelayanan tidak tertuju kepada Tuhan. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pemakanaan salib dan relevansinya bagi Persekutuan Pemuda Gereja Toraja Jemaat Tello Batua Klasis Makassar Tengah dalam pengembangan spiritualitas pelayanan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pemahaman PPGT terhadap makna salib dan relevansinya bagi spiritualitas pelayanan PPGT. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Gereja Toraja Jemaat tello Batua dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara langsung melalui wawancara kepada pengurus PPGT dan pendeta. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pemaknaan simbol salib tidak mencapai pusat dari pelayanan PPGT sehingga pelayanan tidak mencapai kepada esensi yang sesungguhnya kepada pemaknaan spiritualitas kearah Sang Transenden . Pemaknaan simbol salib belum terealisasi dalam spiritualitas pelayanan PPGT. Oleh karena itu dalam membangun spiritualitas dalam pelayanan sangat perlu dibekali dengan pendekatan ajaran Alkitab melalui pemaknaan simbol salib, agar hal ini membantu PPGT dalam mengerjakan pelayanan yang sesungguhnya dan pelayanan lainnya dalam pemaknaan simbol salib Kristus. Throught this the meaning of the cross becomes a tool that can encourage the spirituality of Service for PPGT. However, in reality the meaning of the cross and its relevance to the spirituality of PPGT Service has not been achieved, so that the spirituality of the Service is not directed to God. This research focuses on the meaning of the cross and its relevance to the Torja Chruch Youth Fellowship of the Tello Batua Klasis Central Makasaar in the development of Service spirituality.. The purpose of this study is to evaluate PPGT Services whether the cross symbol can have an impact on PPGT spirituality in realizing the Church 's call to witness, fellowship and serve. The research was carried out at the Tello Batua Chruch using qualitative research methods. Data collection was carried out directly through interviews with PPGT administrators and pastors. The results of this study indicate that the meaning of the cross symbol does not reach the center of the PPGT Service so that the Service does not reach the true essence of the meaning of spirituality towards the Transcendent. The effectiveness of the meaning of the cross symbol has not been realized in the spirituality of PPGT Services. Therefore, in building spirituality in Service, it is very necessary to be equipped with an approach to the teachings of the Bible through the meaning of the symbol of the cross, so that this helps PPGT in carrying out real Services and other Services in the meaning of the symbol of the cross of Christ.
